FAQs

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

Unfortunately, as much as we’d love to invite all of our friends’ kids we can only accommodate a few close family children at the ceremony and reception. We thank you for your understanding.

Question

Our whole family is going to Hawaii. Can we all go to the welcome luau?

Answer

YES! We are so happy that several families are vacationing in Hawaii and have additional luau tickets available to accommodate everyone. TO SECURE EXTRA TICKETS PLEASE VENO JAY @Jay-Joyer-1 AND PROVIDE NAMES OF THOSE JOINING IN THE FUN. Tickets are $90 each for children (ages 3-12) and $150 each for adults (ages 13+).

Question

Is there a shuttle to the welcome luau?

Answer

The luau is 10-minutes from the Westin and can be reached by rideshare service or taxi. There is also a complimentary shuttle from the Westin that stops across the street from the luau grounds. Please note, shuttle capacity is limited and spots are not guaranteed - also, there is no return trip back to the Westin offered by the complimentary shuttle. Please ask the front desk for shuttle details upon your arrival. Other hotels/condos in the Ka'anapali area may also offer guest shuttles. On-site parking is available.

Question

What's the dress code?

Answer

For the welcome luau feel free to wear Hawaiian shirts and dresses and July 4 red, white and blue. For the ceremony, consider it cocktail, please. But we want you to feel comfortable, and it is Hawaii, so if those shoes are too high or that top button is too tight, we'll leave it up to you to make a fashion statement.

Question

Do I need a rental car?

Answer

The answer is ... maybe. Lame, we know - but it really depends on what you want out of your time in Hawaii. If you are staying in Ka'anapali Beach or neighboring Lahaina you will not need a rental car for any of the wedding activities. So, if you plan to spend the rest of the trip laying by the beach or pool, you probably don't need a car. And there shuttle service from Whalers Village next door to the Westin to the following nearby properties: Westin Nanea, Westin KOR, and Sheraton Maui. But if you plan to venture out and see more of the island a car probably makes sense. Rental cars can be picked up at the airport, or you can rent for as little as one day from Ka'anapali. Or, another cost-effective option could be to sign-up for a tour, which in some cases offer hotel/condo pick-up. If you do rent a car, be aware that the Westin and most condo properties charge for parking.

Question

What is the best way to get from the airport to the hotel without renting a car?

Answer

Uber and Lyft are an option but may be expensive if surge pricing is in effect. Shuttles can be booked in advance and in some cases will be the cheapest option for individual or combined groups. Ramoni Aki at the Westin is your go-to contact to pre-book transportation to the Westin or nearby affiliated properties (Westin Nanea, Westin Ka’anapali Ocean Resort Villas, and the Sheraton Maui). 12-person shuttles can be reserved for $382 ($32/person). Once we have everyone’s flight details, we will connect those arriving at the same time in case you’d like to go-in together on a shuttle. Separately, shared shuttle seats are $72 each and private cars for up to five people are $280. FOR MORE INFO. AND TRANSPORTATION BOOKINGS PLEASE CONTACT RAMONA AKI AT THE WESTIN e: ramona.aki@vacationclub.com p: (808) 661-2113

Question

Is there a shuttle to the ceremony?

Answer

Yes, a complimentary shuttle will pickup and drop-off all guests at the Westin on July 6 for the 15-minute transfer to Olowalu Plantation House.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes, if not, we would prefer if it was just you.

Question

Can I book a cabana or daybed at the Westin

Answer

Yes. A limited number of cabanas and daybeds are available but will sell out quickly. If interested, we strongly encourage you to book now – you can cancel later – by calling the hotel at (808) 667-2525 and asking to speak with the Towel Desk.
