Question

I am Traveling, Where Should I Stay?

Answer

We will be spending the night at the campground in John Bryan State Park in the group area and invite anyone to join us there or to reserve your own spots! Check out the travel section for some more specific recommendations.

Question

Is The Party Kid and Pet Friendly?

Answer

We can't wait to say hello to our favorite kiddos, but please leave any pets at home, if this is an issue please feel free to contact us.

Question

Is There Parking Available?

Answer

Yes! There is a large parking lot that is free of charge

Question

Should We Bring Anything?

Answer

if you would like to bring your own cups, plates, or utensils the environment and tired us cleaning up later will thank you! But we will provide all of these along with food and drinks. If you're concerned about allergens or kid friendly options we recommend you bring an option for yourselves. The only seating will be backless picnic tables/benches. If you would like a chair with a back, the parking lot is a short distance away. As of now we don’t plan on providing lawn games, but there is open field next to shelter and you are welcome to bring any.

Question

What is Accessibility Like?

Answer

The party is centered around a shelter house in a park and the ground is grass, no paved pathway to the shelter and uneven and there is one small step into the shelter house. That being said there are no staircases, and it is a short distance from the parking lot to shelter house. Note, there only available bathrooms are rustic outhouse style. There will be a lot of seating within the shelter house.

Question

What are you going to do about COVID-19?

Answer

With the Delta strain proving problematic with many fall plans and events, we too will be monitoring the situation, and are planning on moving forward with having the wedding celebration. We will serve food in the safest manner possible. If the current situation continues we may ask all those attending who are of age be vaccinated, and if this is an issue let us know, to please wear masks and observe social distancing in more packed spaces within the park shelter. Check back for updates as we get closer to the date, and thank you for understanding!

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

The first weekend of October outdoors is seriously difficult to plan for! Wear what makes you most comfortable for the weather and spending time outdoors. We will be dressing up in a variety of our wedding clothes though, and if you'd like to join us in looking a little fancy that would be nice! We will be changing for the camping portion afterwards.
