Planning a wedding is always stressful and it has been even more so during the COVID times, so we want to thank you so much for your patience. While we got married on June 6, 2020 we get to finally have the reception and we are so excited to have you be there in person or in spirit! The party will be held at a park shelter in Yellow Springs, OH from 3-7pm on October 2, 2021. We will do a catered dinner around five pm and have rented out the group campsite for overnight guests. After COVID-19 ruined the plans for our real wedding we had to decide if we would go ahead or postpone, and decided we just wanted to be married! Our good friend Brian Cushing agreed to be the officiant using one of those online things, and read the text from the original 18th century wedding ceremony we had planned. We marched our immediate families and a few friends who were in our COVID circle out to our favorite spot in Mount Airy forest, five minutes from our house, where we had hiked frequently since moving in together. It was SO MUDDY and there and still mud stains on dress, but they make me smile and I didn't have them washed out. The dogs were there of course wearing flower collars I had made that morning, although Arya threw hers off the second the ceremony was over. The golden light streaming through the trees was absolutely stunning, even though it made pictures a little difficult! There is a video somewhere, although apparently it is too many gigabytes to post on this website, but we will have it playing at our ceremony. Maybe.
