Story told by Sarah: In the fall of 2016, I decided to sign-up for a Pure Barre Class in Colorado Springs. I wanted to use the 30-day free trial to hopefully meet more people my age outside of my workplace. Midway through that month, I met a new friend named Monica. One night we grabbed dinner when Monica asked if I was dating anyone. I mentioned that I was single and would love to meet someone, and if they happened to be Jewish that would be an added bonus. Monica mentioned there was a new guy in the Air Force Academy Band who seemed very nice. I was all-in and excited to meet this prospect. Over the coming weeks, Mike and I texted back and forth and finally had our first date on September 27, 2016. We met at Till Kitchen, a farm-to-table style restaurant in town. It didn't take long for the sparks to fly; conversation was easy and fun. We immediately learned we both had family living in Milwaukee, and that I even went to Sunday School with one of Mike's best friends from grad school in Indiana. As the date came to a close, Mike and I had what he would call "the most awkward first kiss of all time." I tried to play it cool for the next couple of days, but nevertheless I knew we had something special. After 3 ½ years of dating, Mike popped the question!
