Travel & Places To Stay

Travel Note

Airport Code

If you are flying into Maui you will most likely be using the airport code of OGG. This will take you to Kahului, Maui.

Travel Note

Cash

Bring cash (USD) as there are many places in Maui and that are 'cash only' places (especially in Hana). ALSO note that there are NO major banks in Hawaii (ie Wells Fargo or Chase) and your bank might charge you a fee if you withdraw cash from a bank ATM.

Hotel

Hakuna Matata Maui Hostel

545 Front Street
Lahaina, HI 96761
 (808) 649-9351

This is a hostel somewhat nearby; if you are on a budget and don't mind hostel settings this might be the place to check out

Travel Note

Possible Rental Websites

Try to look up Airbnb.com for Maui as it can be a good site to look at possible rentals. We live on the west side, Lahaina side and if you would like to remain close this might be a good area to look in. Kihei isn't too too far from us, same with Kahului, Wailuku. Avoid Hana, Makawao, Paia as they are farther away or ask us before you book a place.

Hotel

Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa

200 Nohea Kai Drive
Lahaina, HI 96761
 (808) 661-1234

If you are interested in staying at the Hyatt let us know and Arnold can quote some discounted rates

Hotel

The Old Wailuku Inn at Ulupono

2199 Kahookele Street
Wailuku, HI 96793
 (808) 244-5897

This looks like an affordable & tranquil bed & breakfast
