Travel Note
Please plan to arrive on January 28 before 5 pm for Sangeet, and January 31 by 9 am for the Gaaye Holud Function and the Wedding Ceremony in the evening by 5pm. There's no other place as serene as Guwahati. If you have some time to spare, please find this list to see places in and around the city. No visit is complete without paying tribute to Maa Kamakhya nestled in the Nilachal Hills, or taking a river cruise to Asia's smallest river island - Umananda Island. Ubers are easily available to these places. If you are feeling particularly adventurous, you could also go on a couple of days trip to either Shillong, Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary or Kaziranga Wildlife Sanctuary. Rental Cars are easily available for travel to these places. We can also provide some recommendations.

Please plan to arrive on January 30 before 9am for the pre-wedding functions, and February 5, 6pm for the Wedding Reception. There's always something to do, or see in the city of joy - Kolkata. Personal recommendations - take a tram ride at College Street, soak in the smell of old books, have a buttered toast and afghani cutlet at the Coffee House, take a boat ride at Princep Ghat and marvel at the Howrah bridge from the Ganga ghats. If you're feeling particularly spiritual, the Dakshineshwar temple and the Belur Math a ferry ride away sweep you into another world altogether.
