Mercat de la Bocqueria: You absolutely cannot go to Barcelona and skip La Bocqueria! It’s one of the most famous open air markets in the world and is nestled in the heart of downtown (Las Ramblas). Try samples, grab lunch or dinner, or shop for tasty souvenirs to bring home. Tapeo: We also absolutely loved their tapas and highly recommend their ribs! La Alcoba Azule: Great sangria. Tartela: Fantastic brunch option.

Wine Tours: Visit Penedès or Prioriat

Wine Tours: Visit Penedès or Prioriat

Spain

Less than an hour from Barcelona is Penedès, known for its Cava sparkling wine and also excellent dry reds and whites. Prefer reds? 2 hours from Barcelona is Priorat, famed for its powerful, mineral-driven red wines. We did a tour using Wino Tours and LOVED it. If enough people are interested, we could look into getting a group discount.

GetYourGuide and Viator offer group tours with varying activities (we did a paella class and loved it!). You can also get your tickets to main attractions like Sagrada Familia this way too if you’d prefer to go along with a tour guide.
