The Palm Springs Aerial Tramway is the world’s largest rotating tram car. The ride takes ~10 minutes and brings you to the top of the Jacinto Mountains. Once you reach the Mountain Station—elevation 8,516 feet—there's two restaurants, observation decks, a natural history museum, two documentary theaters, a gift shop and over 50 miles of hiking trails. It's a great thing to do to for taking in the views and having lunch at 8,500 feet.
