Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Madelyn Arangua and Garrett Carter
Colorado holds a special place in our hearts, we hope you can take time to explore it and see why! Here are some of our favorite spots in general order from closest to furthest from Denver...
Union Station

Union Station

1701 Wynkoop St, Denver, CO 80202

A historic Denver favorite with stunning architecture, great food, and the perfect place to explore or relax in the heart of the city. Check out the Lincolns Speakeasy or the Tattered Cover Book Store!

Liks Ice Cream

Liks Ice Cream

2039 E 13th Ave, Denver, CO 80206

Liks has been a family favorite since childhood and is one of our top places to grab a scoop or two or three whenever we get the chance. The Caramel Irish Stout is a staple that we get pints of every time we go in!

Red Rocks

Red Rocks

18300 W Almeda Pkwy, Morrison, CO 80465

Red Rocks is not only a Colorado must see but the place where we saw our first concert together! Its only 30 minutes from Denver and can be visited almost anytime throughout the day. Go for the sunrise, a movie on the rocks, or a concert if you can! *check and make sure there are no events taking place if you intend to casually go

THE Chick fil A

THE Chick fil A

14310 E Alameda Ave, Aurora, CO 80012

This isn't just any Chick-fil-A... it's THE Chick-fil-A! This place has been a part of our family story for years. We eat here at least once a week and highly recommend a visit if you find yourself in need of a quick lunch or a late night nugget run!

Bear Creek Lake Park

Bear Creek Lake Park

15600 W Morrison Rd, Lakewood, CO 80228

Reservoirs are the closest thing Colorado has to beaches, with Bear Creek being one of the best ones close to Denver. You can rent paddle boards and spend all day on the water! *it can get busy quickly, the earlier arrival time the better

Mount Blue Sky Byway

Mount Blue Sky Byway

Evergreen, CO

The scenic drives in Colorado are one of the best ways to really see the Rocky Mountain landscape without getting your feet dirty! Mount Blue Sky is not only one of the most beautiful drives climbing to over 14,000 ft, but sits at under an hour from Denver. You can stop along the byway to take in the views or even hop on a trail for a little hike! *if you plan to hang out at the top for lunch, bring some layers to stay warm
