Our Story

The infamous afro of 2020

Garrett became a part of the Arangua family in 2019 when he became best friends with Madys brother, Seth, at Saint Marys University in Kansas. It was this year that we first met!

A trip to Texas in 2020

Spending a thanksgiving with him and his brother, Tyler, at the Arangua house! It was so sad to see them go

Colorado quickly became a home base for Garrett

One of his many visits to the Arangua household in 2021! It always felt whole when he would come home

Kansas also ended up becoming a stop for Mady on the drive to and from Savannah to see Garrett for a meal and quick catch-up

A 2022 Kansas visit happened to line up with a football game! Mady loved finally getting to watch Garrett play after years of hearing about his passion for the sport!

A brief visit for Seth and Bibi’s wedding in 2023! At this point we hadn’t seen each other much since life had grown so busy

November of 2024 was the first time we had properly seen each other in years. Everything was kicked off in a 20' Penske truck on an adventure to run an errand for Madys mom!

Finally! Months of texting, 6+ hour FaceTimes, sending letters, and a book club later, 2025 brought our hearts together! At last Garrett visited Savannah and we’ve been inseparable since

Our first road trip! We drove from Tucson, Arizona to Santa Barbara where Evan was playing a lacrosse tournament.

Mady had heard all about Garretts family over the years of knowing him, it was so special to finally start meeting them!

Who saw this coming?? We take a ride around town any chance we get.

Garrett watched Mady graduate high School in 2020 AND College in 2025!

Moving Garrett from Arizona to Colorado!

We still aren't sure how, but a pitbull named Bentley hitched a ride with us and ended up in Colorado too

Our first backpacking campsite! We were so lucky to go during a meteor shower, witnessing some of the brightest and most beautiful shooting stars we have ever seen.

We got our first place together in Colorado Springs and are empty nesting it until we get married!!

We also bought a 1973 camper trailer for many future adventures… once we completely gut and remodel it of course
