Welcome Party: Denim and Blazers...Western flare highly encouraged! (Cowboy hat, boots, bolo ties, are all welcome along with sport coat or blazer for men and casual dresses for women). Wedding: Cocktail Attire - Suits for men, long dresses encouraged for women along with closed toed boots. Please no denim. Light sweaters or jackets are also a good idea in the desert. It is a rugged landscape. For the wedding and all events, we recommend close toed shoes, boots etc. There are a lot of prickly things out west, so its best to cover the toes!
Non wedding related, we recommend bringing sunscreen, hats, jackets or coats for the evenings, as it will get chilly once the sun goes down.
When driving to Terlingua, make sure to gas up in Alpine, Presidio, or Marathon, depending on which way you are coming from. The next closest gas station will be in Terlingua. *There is no wifi in some areas so it is best to be prepared.
Yes! There is a local grocery store in Terlingua "The Cottonwood", another great location for health food is in Alpine "Blue Water".
To give all our guests the opportunity to celebrate without having to worry about little eyes and ears, we politely request no children.
Check out the Travel & Lodging section on our website for recs!
Yes - there is a bus running between Lajitas Golf Resort, Big Bend Station, Willow House, and all wedding related events. See Weekend Schedule for more details.
The ceremony is at 5:30pm. Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the ceremony begins.
Everything will be outside. We encourage bringing sunglasses for the ceremony + a jacket for after the sun goes down! The temps could be chilly at night.
Not required, but recommended! Terlingua and Big Bend National Park are very close to the southern border. Be prepared to stop at a border patrol check point when leaving the area.
