We request that all guests wear all-black, formal attire to our celebration on October 7th. This includes button-down shirts, ties, shoes, and handbags. We hope to see men in all-black suits or tuxedos and women in formal dresses or pant sets. Please note that the grounds of the property are primarily loose gravel and grass, so please plan footwear accordingly. For those who opt for heels, we encourage you to bring a pair of black flip-flops or flats to change into later in the evening. Lucky for you, we will be just steps from your rooms, making it easy to switch shoes if needed! We are hopeful that temperatures will be in the low to mid-70s during the day, but we will likely experience temperatures in the high 50s or low 60s once the sun goes down. We will have heaters available in outdoor spaces, and the reception will primarily take place in a walled tent, so the temperature should remain comfortable on the dance floor. That said, we encourage you to keep an eye on the weather as the date approaches so you can adjust your attire for both the Welcome Party and the Marriage Celebration as needed. In the event of showers, our ceremony will still take place outdoors as planned, and umbrellas will be provided.
We love your children and welcome you to bring them with you if needed; however, we have chosen to host child-free events for all scheduled festivities. If you do choose to bring your children, we will be offering childcare services from 11:30am to 4:15pm during the Welcome Party on the 6th and from 2:00pm to 10:15pm during the Marriage Celebration on the 7th. Sitters will be hired based on the number of children in attendance. The total cost of the service, including a 25% gratuity, will be split among participating families based on the number of children in attendance. Each family will need to provide food or formula labeled with their child’s name, along with any preparation instructions if needed. We understand that guests who are breastfeeding may need to step away to tend to their little ones, and we invite you to do so as often as needed. Families with children will see this option available when completing their RSVP. If you are unable to register your children or need to add more than the system allows, please email us at aquilinoshortwedding2026@gmail.com and we will gladly assist.
We understand that taking time off work for a mid-week celebration can be inconvenient, and we truly appreciate those who are able to make it. We completely understand if you are not able to join us. Prior to our engagement, we discovered Chalet View Lodge and immediately fell in love with the venue—especially the opportunity for most, if not all, of our guests to stay on property with us. As Chalet View Lodge offers wedding bookings on Saturdays and Wednesdays, we opted for a Wednesday celebration, which allows us to host our wedding at nearly half the cost.
We are! We eloped on October 7th, 2025 at San Francisco City Hall with only our immediate family in attendance. Through our careers as event managers, we’ve come to truly appreciate the intimacy that an elopement offers—but we are also EVENTS MANAGERS and absolutely needed to throw a big celebration with all of you as well! This celebration is being hosted on our one-year anniversary and will include a vow renewal, as personal vows were not permitted during our legal wedding ceremony. Other than that, you can expect a (mostly) standard wedding celebration!
We understand that some guests may choose to stay off property due to personal preference, Chalet View Lodge availability, or financial considerations. Unfortunately, as we do not have a room block at another nearby property, we are not able to provide transportation services for guests staying elsewhere. It is important to note that due to the remote location of Chalet View Lodge, rideshare services such as Uber and Lyft are not readily available. If you are staying off property, we kindly ask that you remain sober during events at the Lodge, as the surrounding roads are winding and very dark at night.
No, we understand that not all guests will be able to attend the Welcome Party on the 6th, and you are absolutely still welcome to join us for the Marriage Celebration on the 7th! If you choose to attend the Marriage Celebration only, please note that check-in at Chalet View Lodge will not be available until 3:00pm. Our ceremony will begin promptly at 3:30pm. Guests are welcome to utilize Chalet View Lodge’s late check-in system if arriving after 9:00pm on Tuesday the 6th. When booking your accommodations, please note your late arrival in the special requests section, and a Chalet View representative will be in touch with additional details.
Kind of... There are both a Starbucks and a brewery located on the Chalet View Lodge property. Starbucks will be open daily from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM and offers an abbreviated version of the standard menu. The brewery will be open from 4:15pm to 8:00pm following the Welcome Party on October 6th, and from 11:15am to 3:15pm on October 7th, offering local craft beers and flatbread pizzas. Outside of the Welcome Party and Marriage Celebration, guests will be kindly asked to manage payment for their own food and beverages on property. Additionally, we encourage guests to bring any preferred food and beverages to enjoy outside of the scheduled events and outlet operating hours. There is also a great selection of restaurants, bars, and small markets in Graeagle and Portola, all just a short drive away.
Yes, please! If your plans change and you’re no longer able to attend, we kindly ask that you let us know as soon as possible so we can plan accordingly.
Unfortunately, no. Once the RSVP deadline has passed, we are no longer able to accommodate additional guests, as final counts and arrangements will have already been submitted with our vendors.
