FAQs

If you have any other questions than the ones listed here, please contact April or Aaronn anytime before October 2024. If you have questions after September 30th, please direct them to the Maid of Honor (Jane), the Best Man (James), or the Head Bridesmaid (Caitlyn). Thank you and we can't wait to see you there!
Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP ASAP, but the absolute latest will be 07/31/2024! We will need to have a final headcount to the venue by 8/15/2024.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive to the castle for the ceremony between 3:00-3:45pm. Feel free to mingle and find a seat during this time. The ceremony will begin at 4:00pm sharp. If you are late, you will NOT be allowed entry into the ceremony space and will have to wait outside until the ceremony ends and the drinks reception begins.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes! Please only dress in formal attire (suits, formal dresses, nice jumpsuits etc.). We do not care about most colors, but we DO ask to avoid our accent colors (emerald green and black) and the color of the bride's dress (white). This applies to solid colors, but feel free to wear pops of black and/or green! Additionally, April is working with a shoe company called Pashion Footwear for the wedding! If you are interested in ordering a pair of convertible heels-to-flats, you can use the following link to shop April's favorites (https://pashionfootwear.com/pages/ambassador-storefront?lc_ambassador_id=Y3VzdG9tZXI6NTM2MTIyOQ) OR use the code DEATHBYSHREK on the Pashion Footwear website to get 25% off your order! April herself will be wearing a few pairs during our time in Ireland and abroad; she will also be wearing a pair for the wedding!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Due to our intimate venue choice, +1s will be limited. If you have a received a plus one, their name will be addressed on your envelope and you will be able to see their name on the RSVP page here on Zola. Please do not bring unnamed or uninvited guests as they will be turned away from entering the property.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

As mentioned in the previous question, additional guests will be limited. While we do love your kiddos, this event and venue are not suitable for children. We are kindly asking for those attending to be 18+. Only immediate family and those in the wedding party will be allowed to bring their children. If your child/children are invited, it will be addressed on your envelope as either "The ___ Family" or their specific names will be written out. You will also see their name on the RSVP page here on Zola. Please do not bring uninvited guests as they will be turned away from entering the property. Additionally, children in attendance will be your responsibility to manage, especially during the ceremony. We ask that any disturbances please be removed quickly and quietly from the ceremony space in order to provide the best environment for our videographer. Please keep an eye on them during our time in the castle or have a relative or babysitter watch over them. If you are interested, we can get you in contact with a local babysitter who can be at the castle with you during our wedding. Please let us know if you would like more information and we can reach out to our coordinator for a contact.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes! We will be able to let the castle catering staff know of any specific allergies, so please let us know immediately. If there is an issue, we will let you know as soon as possible to try and develop a plan regarding your meal. We will try our best, but unfortunately, we will most likely NOT be able to accommodate for all other dietary restrictions (i.e. religion, personal preferences, sensitivities etc.) beyond life-threatening allergies. Please contact Aaronn or April for any additional questions and we will reach out to our venue coordinator for more information.

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

April and Aaronn will be arriving on the 10/13/24. We do not have much planned currently, but we would love to see everyone early if possible! Additionally, we plan to travel within Europe for some time before and after the wedding. Feel free to ask about our plans if you are interested in extending your time over here!

Question

Can I take photos on my phone or personal device?

Answer

Our ceremony will be UNPLUGGED; this means we are requesting you do not take any photos or videos during our short ceremony. We have a professional photographer and videographer hired to record this event; please let them do their jobs so you can enjoy the ceremony. However, during the cocktail hour and beyond, feel free to take as many photos and videos as you would like!

Question

Can I bring a gift to the wedding?

Answer

Thank you for thinking of us! While we appreciate your generosity, please do not bring a physical gift to the castle. This means less luggage space for you and us! Feel free to browse our registry and have a gift sent to our home address or consider adding to our honeymoon fund on our Zola registry. However, we will have a box at the wedding for any cards, so feel free to bring one of those to Ireland!
