If you were to look at Stephen and I growing up, it might seem impossible that our paths would cross and perhaps even more unlikely that we would end up spending forever together. Looking closer, though, we can't help but feel like we were made for each other. Coming from the suburbs of Georgia, I grew up with tradition, Southern living, and loving parents who showed the persistence and strength of true love. Stephen grew up in Washington with less tradition but equally as much love and support from his family. Having both studied psychology in school, which brought me out to Washington in the first place, Stephen and I quickly bonded over deep, insightful conversations, a love of adventure, and enthusiasm for a good cup of black coffee. Flash forward over two years, we are still just as excited about each other and going through life's adventures together. Being from two different states that couldn't be much further apart, we have had to be creative in how we plan to celebrate the start of our adventure together. After long conversations, that involved many cups of good coffee, we decided to get married at a small, intimate ceremony in Georgia with our closest friends and family on August 7th, 2021. Although we will not be able to share this moment with everyone, we are so looking forward to celebrating with you all on August 27th - 29th, 2021 in Maple Falls, Washington. We couldn't be more excited to throw this camping style reception and share our joy with all of you. So pack your tents and save the dates! We can't wait! With love, Stephen and Rachael
