We highly recommend reserving a table here for an intimate dinner. Perched on a cliff, the restaurant offers breathtaking views and an even more unforgettable dining experience.
Want to stay on Hydra so you don't have to lug your luggage around? Ferries to the neighboring islands run daily. We recommend taking a ferry to Poros or Spetses. We've been to both and they're beautiful.
Take a sunset boat cruise or book a day cruise exploring the island

You can book a guided hike with the link below if you'd like to learn more about the island.
If you feel like taking a little hike, you can walk to Kiafa and visit the church Agios Constantinos of Hydra. This church is breathtaking with its beautiful mosaics and stained-glass windows. The church also offers breathtaking views of Hydra. There are a couple of monasteries to hike up to. Profitis Ilias is about a 60-minute walk (dependingon your pace). There is a paved path where you get to walk through a pine tree forest. The monastery is quite remote. This is where Theodoros Kolokotronis was imprisoned during the 18th century. Just a few feet away you will also find another monastery, Agia Evpraksia, which was built in 1865.
While you enter the port of Hydra on your right-hand side, you will see the famous rocks of Spilia that have attracted swimmers for years and years. You will also get to see the cave; however you cannot swim inside of it. Just a warning: you will need to dive in to the water or use the ladder located on either side. Spilia is easily accessible by foot, and you will also find yourself walking through a fun beach bar, where you can sit and have a bite to eat.
A place to have a nice cocktail and enjoy the amazing views at the cafe-bar located in between the rocks. You can follow the steps and dive into the deep waters.
A small pebble beach just a 10-minute walk from the port of Hydra. You will have to descend some steps to access this area, but you will be able to enjoy a pleasant swim.
This is a more organized beach, with lounge chairs and a beach bar. You can access Kamini via sea taxi or boat or by walking 15 minutes from Hydra's port. For those who can, it is highly recommended that you walk; it's truly beautiful path.
Mandraki is a sand beach with easy access via sea boats and taxis. You also walk to Mandraki; it is only a 20-30 minute walk (depending on your pace) from hydra's main port.
This is another organized beach with grey pebbles. You can enjoy lunch and/or drinks. You can take a sea taxi or boat (5 minutes) or you can walk for about 30-40 minutes and enjoy Hydra’s coastline.
Just 7 minutes away (via boat) from Hydra's main harbor, one can find Plakes beach, with emerald green waters and beautiful mountain views. Here you will also find places to eat and enjoy a couple of drinks.
This beach is renowned for its turquoise waters and its unique natural scenery, as it is surrounded by a pine tree forest. It is a breathtaking beach for scuba diving. It is only accessible via sea taxis and excursion boats, offering regular service.
On the other side of the island and facing the Aegean Pelagos Sea, you will find Agios Nikolas. This beach offers one of the biggest pebble beaches on Hydra. The waters are truly crystal clear. As with Bisti, the only access to Agios Nikolas is by boat or sea taxi.
