Villa del Balbianello
A historic villa famous for its terraced gardens overlooking Lake Como, this villa was also a filming location for Star Wars and Casino Royale. The inside is now a museum that hosts the home and artifacts of former owner Guido Monzino.
Tremezzo
Beautiful village on the western shore of the lake, famous for its stunning views, historical villas like Villa Carlotta and a lakeside promenade.
Bellagio
Only 45 minutes north of VRT you'll find the Village of Bellagio, the self-proclaimed "Pearl of the Lake," with a romantic and charming atmosphere. You can enjoy a magnificent view of the lake, delicious desserts and aperitivo drinks as well as premium silk products.
Varenna
A charming town that can be best enjoyed by walking. Varenna is the perfect homebase on the lake if you wish to go at a slower pace and want to have easy access by train from Milan.
Como
Como City, a historic city at the south end of Lake Como is known for its stunning scenery, Gothic cathedral, and rich history. Don't miss a fun ride on the scenic funicular railway. It is a great base for exploring the lake and is less than a 30 minute drive from Laglio.
Lake Lugano
Lake Lugano sits on the southern border between Switzerland and northern Italy. It is known for its stunning alpine scenery, clear blue waters, and blend of Swiss and Italian cultures. It is a great option for a day trip from Como if you want a less touristy lake experience. From Laglio to Lake Lugano you can expect a 45 minute drive.
