We will be surrounded by an abundance of beaches with calm, crystal-clear water. St. Thomas is only 13 miles long, so you can visit a good amount of them during your stay, and hop over to St. John to see some more! Snorkeling is phenomenal, and Kayla and John saw many types of fish, a bunch of sea turtles, and some sting rays when they were last on the island, so if you’re into snorkeling feel free to pack your gear or rent some on the island!
St. John is located next to St. Thomas, and is just a 20 minute ferry ride away! No passport is needed. St. John is home to some of the most pristine beaches in the world, so if you’re looking to explore another island, head down to Red Hook and purchase a round trip ferry pass! You can also take a ferry to the British Virgin Islands, but if you plan to do this remember to bring your passport along.
The trails in St. Thomas won’t be difficult, but they’re sure to be beautiful! Access the link to read up on some of the trails the island offers. For this activity you may even opt to head over to St. John, which offers better hiking opportunities than St. Thomas, since it’s less developed.
St. Thomas is known as the shopping capital of the Caribbean. Head over to Charlotte Amalie and hit the shops!
