I was supposed to be out of town seeing my parents in New Hampshire while he was visiting DC with his family and my friend, Lauren. I decided to change my trip so I could see Lauren and meet her family. On their first night in town, we all went out to dinner at Pilar and afterward Lauren, Neal and I went to karaoke. He sang and sounded just like Ray Charles. I must have been beaming at him because mid instrumental break in the song he was singing, he kissed me. The rest is history.
