Annaleigh and Brendan first met skiing with their mutual friends in Winter Park, Colorado. Their friends, Tyler and Lara, invited them both to go skiing at Winter Park Ski Resort in December of 2022 - little did they know, they'd be meeting their future husband/wife. Their first conversation was on a chairlift and their first topic - Steamboat Springs. Annaleigh had just moved to the ski town with her remote job, a dream she had been working toward for many years, and piqued Brendan's interest when she told him she'd just moved there. Turns out, Brendan learned to ski at Steamboat Ski Resort in 1996 and had made several visits back over the years with his family. Annaleigh and Brendan, both being the independents and adventurers they were, were shy with each other at first but continued getting to know each other when hanging out with their mutual friends in ski towns or in Denver. Needless to say, their connection kept growing. Then when Brendan came to visit Annaleigh in Steamboat for Winter Wondergrass, Steamboat's annual bluegrass festival, in February of 2023, he asked her to be his girlfriend at one of their favorite places in town - Backdoor Grill (best burgers ever!) Brendan traveled over two mountain passes several times that following year to see Annaleigh and adventure with her, and Annaleigh headed to Denver for "city weekends" often as well. Their relationship blossomed and Brendan moved to Steamboat Springs in July of 2024. He proposed to Annaleigh on their favorite bridge downtown over the Yampa River on October 8, 2025. They are so excited to celebrate their love story and marriage with their family and friends in their favorite place on Sept. 26, 2026. While far from both of their hometowns, Orlando and D.C., they believe there's nothing quite like a Steamboat Springs adventure, and want to share it with the people they love most on their special day. Annaleigh and Brendan want their guests to know they completely understand if circumstances prevent them from attending, and they are grateful for your love and support either way.
