The National Parks only allow people to have events/ceremonies at specific locations. We chose Cades Cove in a section called "LeQuire Cemetery Overlook and adjacent field." It's a tree in a field with a mountain backdrop. Located on Lone Grove Parking near the Cades Cove Horse Trail. This overlook is on the exit side of the loop road, approx. 0.3 mile beyond the Sparks Lane junction. *Since it is on the exit part of a one way loop, you will want to take the Sparks Lane cut through. If you miss this turn, then you'll want to take Hyatt Lane. If you miss this turn, then you'll get to enjoy the whole loop.
7:30am for a beautiful sunrise in the Smokies. The pictures will look great, and then you can always nap later. Make sure you take into account driving on a windy road with you travel time.
