Please wear semi-formal clothing. This is an outdoor wedding, with the ceremony in a sandy area and the reception on grass, so keep this in mind for footwear. Bring layers, as the weather can be uncertain in September. We also request that guests avoid neutrals and embrace fun colors!
We are doing a very DIY-style wedding. The vibe is state park summer camp meets a family and friend reunion. We are keeping our wedding small so we can spend quality time with each of you on our wedding day. Our wedding venue is very remote, so please expect little to no service at the lake. Download map directions ahead of time to ensure you get to the right location. We will also have plenty of signs along the road on the day of! The parking situation will be clearly marked with signs, and we kindly encourage carpooling from the hotel or in general to limit the number of cars at the group campsite. The venue is rustic, but there are flush toilets available and remarkable views of the Selkirk Mountains :) Other than that, luckily for you, this is an unplugged ceremony, so you won’t need your phones anyway! Bring fishing gear, swimsuits, and recreation activities, as we are making our wedding not just one day, but a fun weekend with our loved ones. Our immediate family and bridal party will be there to keep the party going, but we wanted to extend the invite to anyone who may want to make a weekend vacation out of it. One of the best parts of the venue is that we have exclusive access to this area of the park all weekend long, including a beach volleyball area, private beach, private dock, and camping sites! We will be continuing the celebration on Sunday and Monday after the wedding, so there will be plenty of time to relax and enjoy the lake together.
