We found each other on Tinder on a random May day, and when Trenton saw my park ranger uniform, he told his roommate he was going to marry me (look how that worked out). After sitting in our iMessage chat exchanging texts for hours on end, we decided it was only right for our first date to be 12 hours long. We sat on the Clearwater River, had a picnic, and talked about everything. With each hour passing, we came up with another reason to extend the date, and made sweet potato tacos, which is still a staple in our house today. From that day, we talked for three weeks straight while I was on the road for my research. Trenton asked me out, and we got really accustomed with the 90 minute drive between Moscow and Spokane. We supported each other through semi long distance, and after I completed my master’s degree, we sold everything we owned and moved to Kona, Hawaii. We spent eight months soaking (aka burning) in the sun, snorkeling with manta rays, witnessing lava flowing out of an active volcano, and watching countless sunsets over the Pacific. Our favorite part was by far getting engaged. Trenton surprised me with a beachside proposal on August 10, 2025 and celebrated after at an oceanside restaurant. A few months later, for a multitude of reasons, we decided to cut our time on the island shorter than expected and move to Boise, ID to set down roots somewhere that felt more like home. Currently, I work at the Idaho Department of Parks & Recreation out of their headquarters as the South Region & Operations Administrative Assistant, while Trenton works at Idaho Mountain Touring as a Bike Mechanic & Ski Shop Associate. We became parents again as we gave our cat Sado a brother named Von. We have also spent 2026 so far building community and establishing roots here in Idaho, and cannot think of any better way than tying the knot. We cannot wait to share our love with you on one of the biggest days of our lives yet in one of our favorites places on earth. All the love, Anna (& Trenton)
