1.8 mile hike with 465 ft elevation gain. The Cecret Lake Trail is a wonderful family-friendly hike to a beautiful alpine lake in the Albion Basin of Little Cottonwood Canyon near Alta Ski Area. The trail begins at around 9000’ of elevation. The trail is a popular day trip from Salt Lake City. The Cecret Lake trailhead is located right by Albion Basin Campground. You have the option to continue hiking up from this trail to Sugarloaf Peak. Take the time to relax at the lake and take lots of photos of your family with the mountains as a backdrop.
