Fun zoo that has loads of animals to go and see! On a beautiful sunny day it is worth a trip out here (especially the penguins!!)
Walking around downtown Detroit is always a breath taking to see with your own eyes! We highly recommend you check out Ford Field and Comerica Park. Also walk down the boardwalk against the Detroit River
There are two Coney locations in the heart of Detroit. While you're adventuring around and want a bite to eat, Lafayette Coney Island is the superior choice. Simple menu of hot dogs, fries, and coney dogs. Coney dogs are hot dogs topped with mustard, raw onions, and chili. American is next door BUT don't go into that store front. Everyone in Michigan says there's a superior option and that will always be Lafayette
While this is a further drive out compared to other recommendations, Frankenmuth is an amazing small German town that is a fun place to explore! Bonus points if you'd like to do some shopping you can also check out Birch Run (see the next below option!)
If walking around a small town isn't your vibe, then go check out a very fun outlet mall right down the road! Better yet, go explore the small village of Frankenmuth and then go shopping at the outlet mall!
An outdoor living history museum where you can explore how Americans lived, worked, and invented things over the last few centuries
Huge indoor museum all about American innovation and history—especially inventions, transportation, and big moments that shaped the country
Every year Berkley Michigan has an art bash and it just happens to be the Saturday of the wedding weekend! If you’d want to go check it out for a fun art fair - hours are from 10 AM - 6 PM! It is across 12 mile (address will take you about a half mile back to find parking) - it is FREE street parking anywhere in berkley but it’ll be easier to find parking in the neighborhoods around 12 mile due to 12 mile being blocked for the art fair
