We met through Anna's sister Katerina. Katerina and Maxx have known each other for years through a mutual friend. One day Katerina and Maxx were at their friend's house and Katerina pulls their friend aside and asks if he was single. Then she comes up to Maxx and says "Maxx how would you like to meet this amazing person"? When Maxx asked who, she said her sister. Maxx thought "sure why not". A couple weeks go by and Anna still had not heard from Maxx. Then Katerina points out to Anna that Maxx did ask her out and she missed his text. They met at Dessert Oasis for their first date a few days later. What she didn't know was Maxx had to tell his dad he couldn't go to a Detroit Lion's football game that Sunday to go on this date with Anna. However she could tell how big of a Lions fan Maxx is since he was wearing Lions swag on their date. Obviously, saying no to that game is the best "no" he has ever said because it is the first steps to where they are now.

June 1, 2025 was the day Maxx decided to propose. It was a few months in the making, but the most special part was the secret photographer and two of their closest friends behind the scenes. Their friends Noa and Logan helped Maxx coordinate and figure out the best spot to propose. He knew he wanted to do it on the roof of the parking deck where they ended their first date at. a A few weeks prior to the proposal Maxx told Anna he was meeting Logan in Royal Oak. Unknowingly to her, Noa was also meeting with them and they figured out where Anna and Maxx should stand and where Noa and Logan would be hiding. The day of the proposal, Maxx was driving up the ramp and passing by LOADS of empty spaces in the parking garage. He told her "Logan showed me this amazing view of Royal Oak from this spot". At that point, she had an idea something was going on. He then took her to walk to the spot where Noa told Maxx they should stand for the best shot of the proposal. Maxx got down on one knee, and asked Anna to marry him. After 3 minutes of her trying to catch her breath and tears running down her face she (finally) said "YES". Then spent time around Royal Oak with Noa and Logan for a mini engagement shoot. They ended the shoot at Dessert Oasis where they had their first date. The table was set with coffee and other things they had on their first date. The best part of the day was surprising her for a brunch with their parents that tied the surprise all together.
