5:00 pm - 5:45 pm
The Kaballat Panim is a tradition in Judaism where the bride, in this case, Anna is sitting on a throne and she is treated as royalty. Is a very special moment in our religion since it represents shekhinah or the feminine divine presence of Hashem
5:00 pm - 5:45 pm
The Tisch is where Maxx will be while Anna is sitting on her throne in the Kaballat Panim. The Tisch is where the Ketubah (Jewish marriage license) is signed. Combined with drinking and celebrating. This is another Jewish custom that we are excited to have as part of our special day!
5:45 pm - 6:00 pm
The Bedeken is what brings the bride and groom together! We venture out of the Tisch accompanied by loads of clapping and noises as Maxx approaches Anna in the Kaballat Panim. As Maxx approaches the throne, he will lift Anna's veil to make sure he is marrying the right person. This tradition started because in the biblical story, Jacob was tricked into marrying Leah instead of Rachel since Leah was wearing a veil.
6:00 pm
This event is black-tie optional. Please feel free to wear a tux or more formal attire if you so choose!
We are very honored to have our ceremony be done by two of our own family members. Rabbi Aaron Bergman and Rabbi Nitzin Bergman. Please join us as Anna and Maxx are married underneath the chuppah that represents the home they will build together
6:30 pm
Make sure you have your dancing shoes on for an endless night of fun dancing and celebrating on the dance floor!
