Maid of Honor
Anything I write could not possibly capture how much Laura means to us. Laura is my sister/best friend/confidant/role model/and everything a person could need all rolled into one. Laura has been by our sides through thick and thin and been the biggest supporter of our relationship. When I told her that Jacob and I were dating she said "its about time" and immediately took Jacob in. She has supported us through the hardest parts of becoming adults and I don't know that we could have made it without her. We are so lucky to have her stand beside us on our wedding day!
Maid of Honor
Martha was my college roommate and very best friend all throughout college. Living in a 10x10 box with someone will really bond you for life. But really, Martha is a fixture in our lives and we are so lucky that she is a best friend to the both of us. Not only is she just the best friend a girl could ask for, she is also an insane photographer (peep all of the photos on our website,) she is also a jack of all trades and I don't know that we could do this wedding without her. Thank you for cuddle puddles on the Blue Ridge Parkway and supporting us even when it was hard. We love you so much and are so excited to have you stand by our sides on our special day!
Best Man
Since 2009, Jake has been my ride or die. We spent practically every day together from the 5th grade when I first moved to Morehead City, until we graduated high school. We worked our first jobs together (and even caused hell in a kitchen at the dunes club), did practically every extra curricular band activity we could together and so much more. He’s been there through quite literally everything and has even gone as far carrying me down a flight of stairs TWICE when my lung collapsed to take me to the emergency room at the wee hours of the morning. Jake is my rock when I need a friend, and can always help me feel joy when I can’t seem to find it. He has been a huge supporter of Anna and I from the beginning, and I’m honored to have him by my side.
Best Man
“A found family is every bit as beautiful as a born family”. Bruce has been the big brother I always needed in my life since we met in college at Wingate University in 2015. We bonded immediately once we found out we had shared interests in the Red Sox, playing tuba, playing madden, and good beer. I was hesitant to join our fraternity, Pi Kappa Phi, but if I hadn’t taken his advice to get out of the music building and make friends elsewhere, I probably would have gone insane. Like Jake, he’s also been there through some of the worst and best parts of my life. Messy breakups, a lung collapse, the constant floundering through my collegiate career… you name it. He’s always there to give me a swift kick in the @$$ and the advice I need to get through. I also give sole credit to Bruce and his lovely wife, Kelton for convincing me to pursue Anna. I was scared to admit my feelings for her and was going to give it up to avoid any potential drama (IYKYK). When I went to Bruce and Kelton's wedding and saw their love, I knew I would be passing up the love of my life to not tell Anna how I felt and deal with whatever came from it. I’m extremely honored and thankful to have Bruce at my side on our wedding day.
Something Blue Crew
We are SO blessed to be surrounded by so many loving and supportive people in our lives that we had a hard time narrowing down our wedding party, so we decided to have all of these special people be Anna's "something blue" and be our Something Blue Crew. Whether they are siblings, childhood best friends, band mates, or friends we've gathered along the way, each and everyone of them holds such a special place in our hearts and we can't imagine doing our wedding day without them. You will find these special people wearing blue and a special bluebird pin at our wedding. Tori, Thomas, William, Laura Jean, Nick, Kathryn, Kelton, Dopey, Precious, Liam, Alex and Rob, thank you for all the ways you love and support us and we can't have to have you as our something blue!
Flower Children
We have so many special children in our lives, we couldn't pick just a few to be in our wedding party so we decided to ask all of them to be a part of our special day! We lovingly refer to them as the "flock children" (think the plethora of children at the Royal weddings). Caroline (8), Jade (8), Eli (6), Georgia-Kate (5), Rose (4), JT (2), Otto (1), and Emmett (11 months) will be accompanying us down the aisle!
