Transportation To & From the Airport

Whether you decide to fly into Sun Valley directly, or into Boise, there are a number of different transportation options. Although sometimes available please do NOT rely on Ubers/Lyfts. #1 Renting a car There are a number of car rentals companies available at either airport location #2 FREE Shuttle Service to and from Friedman Memorial AirPort (SUN) -If you decide to fly directly into Sun Valley, there is a FREE bus service that will take you into downtown from the airport. Please note these tickets typically cost around $100 for just one way. Advance tickets may be purchased by calling Sun Valley Express (208) 576-7381 or going online to starlinecollection.com/sun-valley-express (Sun Valley Express is not affiliated with Sun Valley Resort). Tickets also may be purchased on the bus at time of departure on a space available basis.

Exploring & Getting Around Town

Transportation to and from the ceremony & reception will be provided - pickup location(s) and timing will be confirmed closer to the date of the wedding, otherwise for exploring and getting around town, please see the following guidance: All events related to the wedding will be held in Ketchum and Sun Valley. If you end up staying in either town, there are a number of easy ways to get around: #1 By Foot or Bike -The Sun Valley Village is located 1 mile from Downtown Ketchum and is easily accessible by foot and bike via a paved path. #2 Free Town Bus -Has the ability to take you all over Ketchum and Sun Valley. -You can find the map of all routes linked here: https://www.mountainrides.org/ketchum-sv-free-town-bus/ #3 By Car -Car rentals are available at either airport #4 Ubers/Lyfts -Do NOT rely on Ubers/Lyfts, however these are sometimes available

Can I bring my kids?

Due to limited venue space, we can only accommodate adults at our wedding ceremony and reception. However, if you are planning to make this trip out to Sun Valley a family vacation, please consider the following babysitting agency: https://www.sunvalleysupersitters.com/ Kids are welcome at the Welcome Party and any other events outside of the wedding ceremony & reception.

What kind of weather should I pack for?
Answer
September in Sun Valley can mean it can get toasty during the day, but drop at night. Make sure to keep checking the weather app! The climate is also very dry so make sure to load up on moisturizer! Welcome Party will be held on a rooftop, however you'll have the option to be either in or outside. Ceremony & cocktail hour will be held outside, however reception will be held inside a heated structure. Heating lamps will also be present outside.

What can I expect with the elevation?
Answer
Sun Valley sits slightly under 6000 feet of elevation so make sure to drink loads of water and plan accordingly for any hiking and when we’re celebrating the night away ;)

Ceremony and cocktail hour will be held on a lawn, so for those planning on wearing stilettos please be weary.
