We met in the most 21st-century way—on the Hinge app. Our conversations quickly became a mix of deep nerdy dives into pop culture, from our favorite shows to obscure trivia. It was the perfect way to bond, and it didn’t take long before we decided to meet up in person. Chris chose Drake’s Brewery for our first date on April 5, 2019—but of course, he didn’t realize it was closed for an event (lol!). No worries, though—Anjani had a backup plan (like always!) and took us to Cleophus Quealy Beer Company, a cozy local brewery where we enjoyed some craft beers and chatted about the important things in life—like sports teams, Anjani’s love of cats, and our quirky hobbies. After that first date, Chris didn’t waste time and asked for another… and then another. And just a few months later, on August 30, 2019, we officially became a couple, marking the start of our incredible adventure together. Disneyland quickly became our shared hobby—Chris, a theme park lover, and Anjani, a fan of magical moments—made it our special place. As the pandemic hit, we got creative with our dates, having park walks and seeing drive-in movies. And even though we couldn’t go to as many places, our foodie mission became even more intense as we tried out new restaurants, all from the comfort of the car. Eventually, we took the next big step and moved in together. Chris had no choice but to become a Cat Dad to Cosmo (rest his little furry soul), and he did so with love. Over time, our bond grew stronger as we became part of each other’s families and continued to make memories that were uniquely ours. Our journey was filled with laughter and love between vacations, festivals, family parties, friend hangouts, and nerd conventions. Then, on a magical day in August 2024, Chris proposed in front of none other than Donald Duck on Main Street, Disneyland. Anjani said yes! Now, here we are (with our newest fur baby, Kyber)—about to become husband and wife. AHHH! What an incredible ride it’s been, and we can’t wait to see where the next chapter takes us.
