We met each other in the lower east side of New York City in November 2010. Richie was living in Staten Island and working at Artichoke Basille's Pizza and I was completing medical school rotations in New York City while living with my friend, Khyati, at the Beth Israel medical dorms on 17th and 1st. One Saturday night, a friend of mine suggested heading to Artichoke before going home. Our stars must have been aligned because Richie was working that night. We chatted for a second and I laughed as Richie suggested I come back to hang out. I was thinking....hang out in a small standing space only pizzeria with a pizza guy?? Ok sure...wink wink:-) Lucky for Richie, the pizza was incredible(he was not bad looking either), so I returned another time. This time he asked for my Facebook name. I again laughed but gave it to him. Nothing came of it; turns out Richie left out a few A's when searching for my name on Facebook. Thanksgiving passed, and one of my bestest friends, Cara, came into town to visit. She wanted to meet Richie so she pushed to return to Artichoke. December 5th, 2010, we went back and Richie FINALLY asked for my number. Seven years later...here we are!
