Como has tons of dining, shopping, and attractions all within walking distance! If you're planning to visit places outside of Como Centre then there are accessible taxis, ferries, trains, and buses available. You will find taxis located near the train station and bus stops in Como. However, taxi drivers are best reserved ahead of time since there are no Ubers available. Below are a few contacts of taxi services nearby you can save to call/WhatsApp ahead of time. Most hotels will also assist in ordering a taxi for you through their concierge. Como has some beautiful cobble stoned, narrow streets and although flatter than many other towns around Lake Como, you will still have some hilly roads which means you want to bring some of your most comfortable sneakers/sandals/flats to walk around in. We have rented a golf cart for Villa Pizzo reserved for those who may need assistance getting around the villa grounds. Ladies, if choosing heels, we recommend block heels.
