Flight
Fly into Granada. The airport is approximately 15 miles from downtown, with bus and taxi service for transport into the city. The airport is named the Federico Garcia Lorca Granada-Jaen Airport; make sure you're booking tickets to the correct city when making reservations. Flights from Milan and Bologna in Italy and from Paris, Madrid and Barcelona arrive at the airport daily.

Take a bus. Many buses enter Granada from all over Spain each day. The most numerous buses are those that connect to other cities in Andalucía, such as Seville, Cordoba and Malaga. However, buses connecting to Barcelona and Madrid are generally available on a daily basis. Most trips within Andalucía take between two and three hours. Madrid is between five and six hours away.
Train
Ride a train. The Spanish train system is extensive and efficient and connects most major cities and quite a few smaller towns. Multiple trains arrive daily from Seville and Madrid, but only one train runs from Barcelona to Granada. The trip from Seville takes three to four hours; the one from Madrid takes five to six hours, and the one from Barcelona takes 12 to 13 hours.
Rental Car
Drive to Granada. The A4 highway connects Madrid to Granada in a nearly straight shot south. The trip is approximately four and a half hours long and has a few tolls. The east-west running A92 connects Granada and Seville, about three hours away. The north-south A45 intersects the A92 on the way to Seville, and connects Cordoba, about three hours away from Granada, and Malaga, about two hours away.
