Question

Are there shuttles to and from the resort to town?

Answer

YES! There will be several shuttles throughout the day. Wedding shuttles will run: From our home in Fraser to the brewery, from the brewery to the resort (Gondola base), and at least 1-2 shuttles thru the end of the evening (they will stop in the town of winter park as well as go all the way to Fraser as needed). Shuttle Schedule: 11am: Shuttle from John and Angela's house to Hideaway, shuttle will make a second loop (expected to leave the house at 12pm approximately) 2:45pm: Shuttles from Hideaway to the resort will begin doing loops, shuttles will get guests to the resort by 3:45 (last call for gondola) 10pm to 11:30pm: Shuttles will take guests from the base of the resort to accommodations in Winter Park or Fraser

What's the weather like?

Answer

The weather gods are shining upon us -- it looks to be a beautiful weekend! Estimated high for Friday is 68 and full sun. Expect it to feel a little hot with the sun out, but the second it goes away it will get COLD (40-degrees or colder), so bring something fun to cover up with when the evening begins. If you are not from the mountains, expect it to feel much colder than you would expect. Don't forget to wear sunblock and bring a hat and/or sunglasses. Ceremony & reception will be at 11,200 feet! Please be aware in that weather in the mountains may be chilly and temperatures drop quickly as the sun goes down. Historical temps: mid-high 50's F / 10 C daytime, high 20's F/ -6 C overnight. Dress accordingly.

How far is Winter Park Resort from Denver?

Answer

Winter Park is approximately 1 hr 30 minutes from downtown Denver. Please be aware that , Berthoud Pass may be affected by weather. Allow plenty of time for traffic and pictures.

How do I get to the ceremony/reception site at the top? Do I have to hike up?

Answer

Ceremony & Reception will be at Lunch Rock, the Mary Jane territory on-mountain lodge at Winter Park Resort. There will be a shuttle from the brewery to the resort ~3pm. If driving, park in Winter Park village. At the resort, take the Gondola up to Sunspot lodge/top, then take the provided bus up to Lunch Rock. Total transit time will be approximately 10-15 minutes, parking is about a 5-10 minute walk to the Gondola. ***You cannot drive to the ceremony/reception site. If you will be arriving after the last gondola/shuttle (~4:15pm) you will need to be driven up to the site by the resort staff. Please contact us if this is the case so we can arrange a ride for you.***

How do we get around?

Answer

There are NO cabs, Ubers/Lyfts in Winter Park. There is a free bus "The Lift" that will take you from the resort to towns of Winter Park and Fraser (where the Safeway is). Plan to drive or carpool when able. Or rent a bike and pedal around to see the valley views! Shuttles will be provided for guests on the wedding day from Fraser to Hideaway Park Brewery, town/brewery to the resort, and returning to the towns of Winter Park/Fraser after the reception. Where do we park?

Answer

You may park in the Winter Park Resort garage or parking lots and walk through the village to the Gondola. You may leave your car overnight if you wish and take the free bus “the Lift” back to town. We will also arrange a shuttle from the resort to Winter Park/Fraser after the party. Parking is also available in the town of Winter Park in the Copper Creek garage. This is a great place to park a car before events at Hideaway Brewery and retrieve it the next day.

How do we get down from the venue?

Answer

Busses will depart from the top of the mountain at 3 designated times (after dinner, mid-party, end of evening). These will drop you off at the base of the Gondola/Winter Park Resort village.
