Shepherdstown- 20 minutes away
A historic town on the Potomac River only 30 minutes away! Great dining options and a very cute town. If the weather is nice you could rent a kayak or bike here: http://www.thepedalpaddle.com/ The historic C&O canal towpath is right across the river. Harsh and Angela did a biking/ camping trip on the C&O and highly recommend it :) There is also the Abolitionist Aleworks and Bloomery Distillery that looks fun.
Harpers Ferry- 30 mins away
This is a great nearby destination for tubing down the river, hiking or walking down the historical streets! The Maryland Heights hike is very fun- Angela has done it and highly recommends it!
Berkeley Springs- 40 mins away!
Mountains and a castle and an adorable historic town
Green Ridge State Forest
Gorgeous area for hiking and camping
Cunningham Falls State Park
45 minutes away- great hiking and beautiful falls!
Antietam National Battlefield Visitor Center- 30 mins away
