In November of 2017, Brian was visiting his brother and Angela joined them on a shopping trip to Abbott Kinney. Little did they know that after a weekend of shopping, yoga, and football, that was the night they met their forever loves. Always late bloomers, they both felt a spark that they left to simmer. Flash forward a year later to September 2018, on another trip out to CA to visit his brother, Brian and Angela took a walk down the Strand as a reprieve from watching football at Shellback. On their walk, Angela stopped at the 22nd St bathrooms in Hermosa. She went to go wash her hands and was dismayed to find that there were no paper towels, she turned around with her hands wet in front of her and was met with Brian's literal shirt off his back! Brian held out his Rams shirt for her to use as a towel and Angela, swept by the gesture, threw her arms around him to thank him! The two embraced in their first kiss! This is a true encapsulation of who Brian is to her- loving, kind, and devoted and Angela to him- passionate, charismatic, and genuine. The rest was history. After that moment, they were laser focused on each other. After 6 months of long distance filled with 4 hour daily phone calls and visits back and forth to STL and CA, Brian made the leap and moved to Redondo Beach, CA to be with Angela.

Under the guise of taking Christmas card photos, Brian took Angela to a beautiful spot in Palos Verdes. Running late for sunset, Angela kept suggesting that they just go to the beach to take photos instead, as it was closer. Brian who usually chooses convenience, suspiciously insisted on going to PV. Once they were there, Angela still didn't make it easy for him by insisting that they took photos at the top where "everyone else" was. She didn't understand why he kept looking around for a trailhead when there was a perfectly good spot in front of them! Brian grabbed her hand and rushed her down a steep trail leading to a secluded lookout spot. There, they were greeted by a beautiful romantic picnic, set up by their dear friends, Tiffany and Cody. It was all coming together now. Brian got down on one knee and proposed to Angela. With tears of happiness, and not a moment of hesitation. She said yes! Brian will later describe this day as the most nerve racking- best day of his life so far and Angela, the most romantic surprise!
