Wedding Party

Yes, you're seeing correctly, there really are 2 Chris Millses in the wedding! And lots of other incredibly awesome people!! Read all about them and their friendships with Lindsay and Andy below!

Chris Mills

First Mate

Chris and Lindsay met during college, while working at a leadership camp in Indiana in the summer of 2005! It was best friends at first sight, and they've stayed that way ever since, even though they've never lived in the same city. They've racked up the roadtrip and frequent flyer miles visiting each other in Pittsburgh, Denver, LA, Chicago, Indy, and Ft Myers, and traveling places like the Caribbean for a cruise and Alaska to run a half-marathon. In July 2017, they starred in one of the highest-rated episodes of House Hunters to ever air on HGTV (I mean, it had to be, right?!), entitled Furry Friends in Florida. Chris and Lindsay love the motto, "Why be functional when you can be awkward?", cat clothes, the last name Mills, and all things Britney.

Chris Mills

First Mate

Chris is Andy's brother and knows Andy better than anyone! Growing up in Wisconsin, they loved spending time at their family's lake cabin, playing Super Mario Brothers and Zelda on Super Nintendo, and having family game nights, although Chris refused to play Monopoly with Andy because Andy was way too lucky. Chris preferred playing Andy in games of skill and intelligence, because he could always kick Andy's butt in those! In their twenties, Chris and Andy lived together in Monona, WI for a couple of years. Chris loves dog-sitting Wade and is also a cat whisperer with Lindsay's cats, who crawl all over him and like to sleep on him. Chris and Andy still enjoy discussing video games and spending time at the cabin, and Chris still won't play Andy in Monopoly.

Kendra Kracium

First Mate

Kendra and Lindsay first met at THE hot spot in their hometown of Kendallville, Indiana (Pizza Hut, obviously!) to talk about Lindsay's first book, which Kendra had gotten from her AP English Lit teacher (Lindsay's mom). From there, they became instant best friends, sharing ALL their boy stories and hanging out constantly at Purdue, the lake, concerts, or Ft Wayne's finest establishments (Piere's, Club V...or let's just say C-Street). When Lindsay moved to Colorado, they talked on the phone every single day so they could still share all their boy stories. Then Kendra met the love of her life, Tom, and Lindsay got to be her maid of honor! Now Kendra and Tom have a daughter, Kennedy, and a son, Blake, and even though Kendra and Lindsay live far apart again, they are still best friends!

Jessica Smith

First Mate

Jessica and Andy met in high school and became besties even though they went to different schools. They eventually became roommates in Madison, where Jessica once woke up to find she couldn't get out of bed because Wade had brought all the trash into her room to eat it and left it all over her floor. One night as Jessica and Andy were biking home to their apartment at the bottom of a hill, Andy told Jessica to open the door, and he flew down the hill on his bike and into the living room, somehow managing not to damage the bike, or himself, or anything in the living room! A couple of Jessica's favorite times with Andy are when they went out to the bar at 7 a.m. to celebrate her birthday and when they took off work to play in the snow all day. While they were roommates, Jessica's boyfriend Alex proposed, and Andy was in their wedding too!

Josh Bentz

Captain (Officiant)

Josh is Lindsay's brother! Ever since they were kids, Lindsay has been getting Josh into all kinds of stuff he probably didn't want to do, like when she used to choreograph dances and teach them to Josh, then make him perform with her for their parents and grandparents. Oh, and she always dressed him up in an outfit that matched hers, too. Or when she used to make him practice his backwards rolls on the trampoline because it slanted downhill (but hey, he did end up winning state in tumbling team). For years, even long before meeting Andy, Lindsay has been saying she wants Josh to be the officiant when she gets married, and luckily he agreed to this latest "adventure"! Josh is also engaged and getting married in 2021 to his fiancée Meredith! Welcome to the Bentz Zoo, Andy and Mere!

Derick Gienger

I Do Crew

Derick and Lindsay met in 9th-grade geometry when Derick sat diagonally behind Lindsay and would feel pretty good about getting a 98 on every test until he looked across the aisle and saw Lindsay had gotten a 102. By senior year they were best friends, having all kinds of crazy small-town fun like TP'ing each other's houses and passing notes in class on their graphing calculators. After high school, Derick and Lindsay both went to Purdue, where they were roommates for 3 years. They remained best friends after Derick graduated and Lindsay stayed at Purdue for grad school. Derick loves his wife Kim, his daughters Ella and Grace, the Green Bay Packers, losing money at poker, and passing out at weddings (yes, it's happened twice). He'll be the one with a chair beside him, just in case. ;)

Tracey Lemming

I Do Crew

Tracey and Lindsay met in line for the piano bar at their favorite bar at Purdue, the Neon Cactus! Tracey thought she recognized Lindsay from a Facebook picture, and it turned out Lindsay was roommates with one of Tracey's high school friends! Lindsay and Tracey quickly discovered their shared love for the Cactus and started going every Thursday, even creating a Facebook group called the Crazy Cactus Girls! They also bonded over other shared interests, like Dierks Bentley, Benton County, and all things Purdue! While Tracey was working in West Lafayette after graduation and Lindsay was in grad school, they were roommates for two years. Now Tracey lives in Chapel Hill, NC, and she and Lindsay talk on the phone regularly and visit each other or meet up at Purdue whenever they can!

Wyatt Turner

I Do Crew

Wyatt and Andy became friends as soon as they met. Andy was visiting Lindsay in Florida and they met through Wyatt's other half Kristen (also a member of the I Do Crew)! Some of Wyatt and Andy's best excursions have been kayaking down the Estero River and playing at Wyatt's golf course, when Andy bombed a drive over the condos to the right and they never went over to find the ball... Wyatt is the course pro not Andy! Wyatt is always game for an embarrassing Halloween costume, a new brewery, challenging Andy in beer pong, or a good night with friends. He is the best new friend Andy has made in Florida!

Holly Doucette

I Do Crew

Holly and Lindsay met in Colorado when Holly was living in Boulder and Lindsay was living in Greeley. They were both looking for a roommate in Denver, and they found the BEST apartment, on the 27th floor with views of the mountains and the city! They were a perfect fit as roommates right from the start, and they have had countless adventures over the years, like nights out in Denver and Boulder, Sunday Fundays, Rockies games, trying online dating together for the first time, eating lots of late-night pizza, and running half-marathons in Nashville, New Orleans, and Virginia Beach! And good thing they tried online dating, because after years of laughable and failed attempts, they both met their eventual husbands online!

Dan Spence

I Do Crew

Dan and Andy met through work and quickly became friends. Like Andy, Dan loves to sail and be out on the water, and he is even a competitive sailor! Dan is from Ohio and loves the Cleveland Browns, and this year his team and Andy's team (the Packers of course!) play each other on Christmas Day.

Kim Harmon

I Do Crew

Kim is Lindsay's first best friend, from 5th grade! They even had best friend earrings and would plan which days to wear them to school. Then in 6th grade, Kim moved to Kentucky, and she and Lindsay wrote actual letters and mailed them to each other. Kim recently found a box of the letters! Throughout middle and high school, Kim often went on spring break with Lindsay to Fort Myers Beach, and in college Lindsay would visit Kim at IU and Kim would visit Lindsay at Purdue. After college Kim moved to Madrid for 5 years, and she and Lindsay had an interesting bus trip to Valencia over Lindsay's spring break one year! Since then they have also met up in Geneva for a few days, and Lindsay can't wait to visit Kim in NYC after she moves there this summer! Kim and Lindsay haven't lived in the same place since 5th grade, but they are still great friends! And obviously, they both love to travel.

Michael Ottman

I Do Crew

Michael and Andy became fast friends when Andy started working at the West Marine in Fort Myers! They sometimes play tennis together and share an interest in disc golf/Ultimate Frisbee. Lindsay first met Michael at the West Marine holiday party a couple years ago, and Andy and Lindsay even got to name Michael's new car for him because they were the first to ride in it! They picked the name Ron Burgundy because it's a burgundy color. Michael likes going to breweries with Andy and Lindsay and just joined their fantasy football league too. Now they watch football together most Sundays and have become great friends!

Julie Jefferis

I Do Crew

Since Julie and Lindsay became friends in 2016, no one has had more of a front-row seat to Lindsay's Florida dating life than Julie! Through many Fridays at WOB to nights out at the beach and downtown, loads of weird guys on dating apps, and hours spent talking in Julie's room at school, Julie was Lindsay's go-to whenever something interesting (or annoying, awful, hilarious, etc.) happened. The morning after Lindsay met Andy, she went in Julie's room to tell her about the date before school even started! Julie and Lindsay also share a love of travel and running. They have traveled to Paris and Italy together and created the fabulous "Lindsay and Julie's Fake Fort Myers Marathon" when they were scammed out of a race. Even though Julie now lives in Charlotte, she is a lifelong friend!

Kristen Stout

I Do Crew

Kristen and Lindsay met in 2016 while both working at Tanglewood Elementary in Fort Myers. Even though they met in Florida, they both grew up in Indiana, only a little over an hour from each other. One of their first times hanging out, they went to a haunted walk in Cape Coral, where they were chased by a crazy chain saw guy! During Hurricane Irma in 2017, Lindsay's house was in Evacuation Zone A, so Kristen let Lindsay, Jello, Lancelot, and Calypso come stay at her place for a 2-day hurricane party! Over the years, Kristen and Lindsay have bonded over beers at WOB, line-dancing at Dixie, having fabulous blonde hair (Kristen's is #goals!!) and talking about all aspects of life (including boys, of course). Now Kristen is happily engaged to Wyatt, also a member of the I Do Crew!

Allison Hartman

I Do Crew

Allison and Lindsay met in 2016 while both working at Tanglewood Elementary, when Allison's room was right down the hall from Lindsay's office. They first hung out at the staff holiday party, and since then they have shared MANY girls' nights, brunches, Fridays at WOB, Oktoberfests, pool and beach days, game nights, and, of course, random stories about weird guys from dating apps. Allison liked Andy right from the start, just from Lindsay's stories, and told Lindsay she had a good feeling about him before even meeting him in person. She was the first of Lindsay's friends to predict that Lindsay and Andy would get engaged, and since Andy moved to Fort Myers in August of 2019, Allison has become good friends with him too!

Ginger Keller

I Do Crew

Ginger and Lindsay met when they worked together at South Side Elementary in Kendallville, IN in 2014. But it wasn't until Lindsay moved to Florida that they became close friends! Ginger was thinking of moving to Florida too, so she flew down to visit Lindsay over her spring break in 2017, applied for a job shortly after, and ended up moving to Ft Myers that summer! Now she and Lindsay live in the same neighborhood, go to the beach whenever they can, spend lots of Fridays at World of Beer, watch Younger together, pet sit for each other, and go to New York City for the Brooklyn Book Festival every fall (pre-COVID, anyway)!
