Best Woman
I met the groom when I was approximately 3.6 years old. As such, I have very few memories of life pre-Andy…and I consider myself very blessed for that. Even though it meant conceding my status in our family as “the baby,” it also meant gaining a new, incredibly important facet of my personal identity: one of Andy’s THREE big sisters! It is a struggle to keep this short because in order to give one of my childhood memories — I had to open a very large vault of them. Each memory is so shiny and special I want to share them all but you’ll have to wait for the wedding speeches (and decipher them through my tear-choked voice, good luck!). I’ll leave you with this teaser: any creativity I show up with in my adult life can largely be credited to the hours I spent deep in imaginative play with my first best friend, Andrew. He was and always will be the Sheriff Woody to my Buzz Lightyear, the Lou Costello to my Bud Abbott, and the Copper to my Todd. Switching to third person to spice things up, Scooter had the pleasure of meeting Alexis in 2019. Scooter was delighted by how upbeat, thoughtful, fun, and loving Lex was then and continues to be now. Scooter is grateful for Lex being there for Andy (and, honestly, showing up for the rest of our family, too!) for the high highs and low lows of the last half dozen or so years. She cannot wait to see them continue their love story in ✨wedded bliss✨.
Maid of Honor
Hello there! My name is Cindy, and I am honored to the Maid of Honor! I’m a friend and direct colleague of Alexis—by extension, that means Andy, too. Most people know me for my two pups (aka my sons), Tofu and Wasabi, my love for cooking, and a whole bunch of other things. Even though I’m in the Bride’s party, I actually met the Groom, Andy, first when we briefly worked together in 2022. My first thought? "Oh, this guy is funny, but I’ll probably never see him again." Then bam —2023 rolls around, and Alexis and I become official coworkers. At first, we had one of those "Wait a minute, I know you from somewhere..." moments, and before we knew it, a hilarious, unexpected friendship was born. Skipping ahead to the good part: Alexis and I have built an amazing friendship and spoiler alert… I GOT INVITED TO HER WEDDING! Through her, I’ve found a true, one-of-a-kind friend. She’s my banter buddy (mutually annoying each other, of course), my very good friend, my life-advice, my possible emergency contact (TBD), and honestly, a loved one I’m so grateful to have in my life. Now, Andy gets me in his life too! But in all seriousness, knowing these two, I’ve learned that love isn’t just about finding the right person—it’s about keeping your standards high, your laughter endless, and your hearts full. They have brought so much joy and love into so many lives, and now, we get to celebrate the beautiful love they’ve built.

Morgan and Alexis met in 8th grade at Skyview Middle School in Colorado Springs. Alexis was new to the school district that year, and Morgan was one of the first friends she made. Over the years, the two became close, having many sleepovers, making funny videos for YouTube, sharing a love for music and the latest dance crazes, and a deep affection for 2008’s limited edition Edy’s Girl Scout Thin Mint ice cream. Morgan and her family moved away during their sophomore year, but the two remained in touch. Morgan came back to visit on many occasions, and despite the distance, their friendship never wavered. Alexis and Andy were able to visit Morgan in Chicago in April 2023 for her baby shower. Morgan has since relocated to Ohio with her sweet baby girl, Journi, and her family. She is so excited to be a part of this very special day for one of her oldest and dearest friends.

The first time I met Andy was when I had heard about his comic store from a friend. When I arrived it was cozy and I couldn’t order my comics for pickup moving forward but Andy’s friendly and nerdy demeanor made me feel welcome. Over time we would get into drawn out talks about super heros and wonderful stories worth a read that he could order and I could pay for. I’d hang out at the shop reading in between Andy helping his customers and ranting about how Dr. Doom doesn’t get enough recognition. He was loud, sarcastic, silly, kind, genuine, and had a good soul. I knew from early on he was one of the best people I’d ever met and was grateful to call him my friend. He’s still all of those things and so much more, and I can say I have yet to meet a better person or more caring individual than, Andy, which brings me to Lex. From early on I could tell not only was she a wonderful delight and fresh breath of air to be around, but a perfect fit for Andy. I recall a time leaving after a visit while they were still dating, telling Lex that I have always wanted the very best for Andy and I was glad to see he had found it. I stand by those words. They are my example of what love should look like.
Bridesmaid
(AH-DAY-awe-LA) https://www.name-coach.com/adeola-a I, an excited bridesmaid, enjoy whatever requires a little creativity and getting my hands dirty, finding more DIYs that I have no business adding. I love a good craft/hardware store trip. I currently work at CSU which is where I met the whimsically wonderful bride-to-be. A couple months in, they announced someone who’d soon join our office, Alexis Works. A name that didn’t yet have a face. So imagine my thrill to see another Black woman walk by on her first day. When I got home, I saw a glimpse of this neighbor in my building I see now and again - a fun game of “how many skinfolk will I randomly see today in Fort Collins?” Usually, she’s with Andy, whom I worked with briefly as a student, and always saw rushing through campus with his signature transition glasses. Oh wait, Alexis? The coincidence was too great to deny. Right away, she’s heavy with the wisdom in the office yaps, gem after gem, and she has the loving but mischievous vibes of a sister. As I was fresh in my new job and in my new apartment, I was at the start of a whole new chapter as a recent grad. Then came Alexis, the unexpected beat drop missing in my melody. Sitting with her and the kind gentleman of Andy Ricciardi, amidst an effortlessly gentle and joyful bond, they’ve created a story I can tell for years about never lowering standards for the love you accept. I couldn’t be happier, and I cannot wait to be in the opening credits of this A&A production.

I'm Dakota Arend, married to my amazing wife, Jordan Arend. We have 2 dogs named Onyx and Merlin and we live in Kansas where I work as a massage therapist. I also travel and work at tattoo conventions doing corrective bodywork on the artists! I've been friends with Mr. Andrew Ricciardi since high school. I can still see his majestic curly fro bouncing down the hall when he yelled up at me and some friends, I cant exactly remember what he said, but he said some bad words, I responded with some more bad words, they were probably really funny insults and everyone involved had a good time. Eventually we ended up sitting next to each other in a class and realized that we’re better off as friends. And the rest is history. Growing up in Fort Collins was a lot of fun with you, man. Thanks for being a best friend, and part of my family. Love you, bro! And congratulations to you and Lex! Cheers to a happy and healthy marriage!!

Hello all family and friends. My name is Malcolm Jordan. I am a good old time friend of the bride. I met Alexis in our tenth-grade math class with Mr. Burns. We became fast friends and were often reprimanded for talking in class. You could always catch us giggling about something, ha! We stayed close throughout the rest of high school and attended the same junior college in the years that followed. Through our late teens and twenties, we celebrated many birthdays, jobs, educational milestones, and more! Alexis went off to Fort Collins to continue her schooling, while I moved to Denver for a while before taking a job teaching ESL in Colombia. COVID-19 brought me back to the States, but I hope to live abroad again in the near future. I am so happy and thrilled for the new adventures she and Andy will be discovering together in their union!

Most friendships start with a handshake. Ours started with a right hook. I first met Andy through his sister Scooter at what can only be described as "a random party at a random house" – clearly the beginning of all epic tales. But our friendship didn't truly blossom until I was given the rare and satisfying opportunity to consensually knock him out in a garage. Andy quickly outpaced my fighting skills, proving that getting punched in the face repeatedly is apparently excellent motivation for improvement. Our relationship only got weirder from there. When Andy began to attend Colorado State University, I somehow ended up as both his boss AND his landlord. Following the established pattern of our friendship, he eventually became better than me at my own job and took it. I'm still waiting for him to buy my house and complete the trifecta. Through it all, I've watched Andy grow from the guy I could knock out with a single punch to the incredible man marrying Lex. The love they share with each other (and their fur-child Ralph) is something that deserves to be celebrated, and I couldn't be more thrilled to share this tremendous occasion with them.

Flower Girl
June is Andrew’s six-year-old niece and she loves beauty—especially the beauty of a bride on her wedding day! This will be her third (and final!) debut as a flower girl—a responsibility she takes very seriously. June loves to dance, climb trees, make art, play soccer, and read books. She absolutely adores her Gemini Twin Star Auntie Lexi because Lexi shares her love of roses, rainbows, sprinkles, and sparkle.
Ring Bearer
Dominic is the eight-year old nephew of Alexis who will be serving as our ring bearer. This is his first time in a wedding and he’s quite excited. Dominic loves Bluey, Spider-Man, sports, sweet treats and hanging out with his two older brothers. Dominic is a big fan of Andy as he once saved his life from a “bee” (it was actually a moth) deeming Andy a superhero in his eyes! Dominic is so excited his Auntie Lex is marrying Superhero Andy.
