Question

This is my first time coming to Colorado, what will the weather be like?

Answer

October weather in Colorado is beautifully clear and dry with occasional rain and snow. Average high temperatures tend to be in the low 70’s and average low temperatures hover around 45°. You’ll typically see the highest temps in the afternoon with the nights always cooling off. We recommend bringing a light- medium weight jacket for the mornings and evenings.

Question

How do I prepare for the altitude change?

Answer

Altitude sickness occurs when you go from an area of low elevation to a higher elevation where the barometric pressure drops and there’s less available oxygen. For our out of state guests to prepare we recommend: Drinking extra fluids and eating more carbohydrates and considered arriving a few days early if you can give your body a chance to acclimate. Pace yourself if you plan to drink. Two drinks in the mountains will be more potent than at sea level!
