We LOVE this spot! Bring a bottle of wine, watch the sunset, and take in the most breathtaking views the Cali Coast has to offer. This place has trails galore, amazing wildlife watching, including whales(!), birds, sea lions and more( and there is parking!). On the way there you’ll pass cute little seafood shacks, wine tasting, a salty marina, and more. Its absolutely perfect for photos!
We've anchored our boat overnight in Drakes Bay a few times, and the views have been stunning. Save yourself the 8 hour journey, and do a hike instead. Point Reyes National Seashore has many trails, depending on how ambitious you are feeling.
This beach is absolutely gorgeous and worth seeing all on its own with tons of wildlife and epic views! To make it even more appealing, it’s located in Jenner, CA, a teency little town with a variety of natural delights as well as lodgings, eateries, and businesses tucked away along more than 20 miles of wild and beautiful coastline. A treat to behold!
This is a great place to launch a kayak or tiny boat. There may be kayak’s for rental at this location, or you can bring one from your AirBnB/accommodation for use at this launch. (Note: Fishing requires a fishing permit which are available for purchase from the above Parks website)
Founded by our very own Vivienne and Michael Straus, the California Cheese Trail is an awesome way to support local artisan cheese makers and spend an afternoon. This one requires a car and is for those who don’t mind a scenic drive in the Napa/Sonoma area. We could not recommend Littorai highly enough. It's about 30 minutes drive from the venue, and a true example of Sonoma Coast wines. Make a reservation to tour their vineyards and learn about their Generative Agriculture approach to winegrowing, before tasting delicious wines. Just be sure to bring us back a bottle.
We really enjoy Point Reyes Cheese, especially the TomaRashi. If you head south from the venue along Route 1 for about 15 minutes, you can stop at the farm just outside the town of Point Reyes Station and do a tasting.
