Good question. No. The shuttle will only run Saturday Oct 7, the wedding day. For all other events, please make your way to the Straus Home Ranch via car or carpool. There is a small parking lot on site (it will be reserved for vendors and on site guests only on the wedding day. If this is you, we have already spoken about it. ) Reminder that there is NO CELL SERVICE AT THE RANCH. Ubers & Lifts may drop off but will probably not pick up. Don’t get stranded!
~The ranch is located in a rural area with limited cell phone service and VERY limited on-site parking. We will be providing a shuttle service for guests staying within a 5 mile range of the venue. Please REACH OUT TO US if you are having issues finding a place to stay within 5 miles or are traveling by car from farther than 5 miles~ ~Ubers and Lyfts may be able to drop off at the venue, but it is NOT likely that they will be available for pick up after the event. Please plan in advance for your arrival and departure and please REACH OUT TO US if you are having trouble finding a ride~
~The closest gas stations are in Point Reyes and Petaluma. It is best to make sure you have enough gas before heading out our way!~
Thank you so much for thinking of us! It truly warms our hearts. We have more info on this in our “Registry” page which can be found in the upper menu bar.
~Dress will be SEMI-FORMAL ATTIRE~ ~The welcome drinks, ceremony, and cocktail hour will be OUTSIDE~ ~The ranch tends to be warmer during the day and cooler at night in the month of October. The ceremony site, a gorgeous eucalyptus grove overlooking Tomales Bay, is a five minute walk up a moderate grassy slope. Therefore conservative footwear is recommended. You may also choose to bring a change of shoes for the party! There will be an area to store a bag if needed.~ (Our personal vehicle will be standing by for those who may need a lift to the ceremony site …or for those whom don’t read the memo ;P )
Great question! Please use our “RSVP” tab in the upper menu bar. It will appear once the formal invitations are sent out.
What an important question! I’m so glad you asked. In fact, we have a whole page of our website dedicated to this topic. Please see the “Travel” subject in the upper menu bar. :)
~We love our pets. We'd probably love your pets as well, but the neighboring cows do not. Please make other arrangements for your furry friends~
We have decided to host a “family style” dinner at our reception. All menu items will be available to all guests to pick and choose from. It will have a red meat and white meat dish with plenty of vegetarian options. We hope you love it! If you have dietary restrictions we should know about, PLEASE REACH OUT!
