One of our favorite things to do is walk around the three-mile loop at Lake Bde Maka Ska in Minneapolis. You can also rent kayaks, bikes, and stand-up paddle boards, or enjoy the three sand beaches. There are many restaurants and bars near the area. Lake Bde Maka Ska is a 25 minute drive from the Omni Hotel.
The Mall of America is the largest shopping mall in the country with 520 stores, an indoor amusement park, movie theater, escape room, mini-golf courses, and multiple full-service, fast-casual, and food court dining options. The Mall of America is a 10-15 minute drive from the Omni Hotel.
Located in the heart of the Twin Cities, this park offers extensive hiking, bike and ski trails that link to Minnehaha Park and the Minnesota Valley National Wildlife Refuge. The Pike Island Loop is a 3.9 mile heavily trafficked loop that features a river and is good for all skill levels. Fort Snelling State Park is a 10 minute drive from the Omni Hotel.
One of Minneapolis' oldest and most popular parks features a majestic 53-foot waterfall, limestone bluffs, and river overlooks. You can rent tandem bikes, enjoy the walking trails, play in the river, or grab a bite to eat at the on-site fast-casual restaurant Sea Salt Eatery. Minnehaha is a 15 minute drive from the Omni Hotel.
Located right on the Mississippi River with stunning views of downtown, St. Anthony Main is a pocket of Northeast Minneapolis worth exploring. This hidden gem is characterized by its cobblestone road lined with a historic theater, bustling restaurants and some of our favorite patios. It’s also the oldest portion of the city, but has kept it’s character intact.
With a focus on quality ingredients, simplicity and execution, the menu features James Beard award-winning chef, Ann Kim’s take on familiar favorites. Red Cow is one of Talia and Andrew's favorite restaurants in the Twin Cities. They have amazing burgers, salads, and appetizers and drinks. They have awesome gluten free, dairy free, and vegan options. The closest location is in St. Paul at 393 Selby Avenue. Conveniently located in Eagan, MN, the Minnesota Vikings Museum is a place for Vikings fans and Legends alike to experience the comprehensive history of the Minnesota Vikings and football in Minnesota. With a 360-degree video theater, multiple interactive exhibits and hundreds of historical artifacts, fans can learn the fascinating stories and insider details of the franchise's first six decades in fun and unique ways at this 14,000 square foot museum.
