The best options for getting to Madeira are Major US Airlines and TAP Air Portugal. Keep in mind, Madeira is an island off the coast of Portugal. While US airlines won’t fly directly to the island, there are plenty of European airlines that can get you there in time to celebrate with us! The easiest route is to fly into Lisbon, Portugal, and then catch a connecting flight to Madeira with airlines like TAP. Traveling by boat isn’t really an option, so air travel is the way to go. Enjoy your flight to Madeira! Did you know? Madeira Airport is famous for its challenging landings—pilots need special training because the runway is only 5,774 feet long and partially extends over the ocean on a series of pillars.
