Flight
Cody Yellowstone Regional Airport - COD Cody is the local airport and by far the most convenient. Many local hotels offer free airport shuttles. The drawback is that this airport is only served by United, which runs a few flights a day between Cody and Denver. Flights are very expensive and fill up fast. Billings-Logan International Airport - BIL Distance: 107 miles (2 hr drive) Billings is the next closest airport to Cody, and is served by more airlines. Flights here are often cheaper. You can either rent a car to get to Cody, or book a shuttle service through codyshuttle.com. Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport - BZN Distance: 214 miles (3 hr drive) Bozeman is a little farther away, but is also served by more airlines than Cody. Visitors would have to rent a car to get to Cody. Jackson Hole Airport - JAC Distance: 169 miles (4 hr drive) Jackson Hole is also served by more airlines than Cody, as the town of Jackson is Wyoming’s most popular tourist destination. Visitors would have to rent a car to get to Cody. Though that drive is lengthy, it is spectacular. It cuts through two major national parks (Yellowstone and Grand Teton) and could be worth it for those wanting to make this trip a longer vacation. Those wanting to drive through the parks however do have to pay for entry. Salt Lake City International Airport - SLC Distance: 440 miles (7 hr drive) Salt Lake City is the closest major commercial airport and a Delta hub, so some may want to fly in and then rent a car to make the long drive to Cody. If visitors want to make the scenic drive through Jackson, Grand Teton and Yellowstone on their way up, that would up the drive to 9 hours. Denver International Airport - DIA Distance: 500 miles (7 hr drive) This airport is the largest one on this list, and is served by the most airlines. It is a major hub for United, Frontier, and Southwest. Some may want to fly in, rent a car and drive up to Cody.
Travel Note
Uber and Lyft are not really a thing here. There is a cab service(?) but neither of us have tried it. We will not be providing transportation to the wedding and reception venues, so please plan accordingly!
