The Buffalo Bill Center of the West will be our reception venue, but we highly recommend spending some time here before or after the wedding, too! BBCoW has five wings, each containing a different museum—the Buffalo Bill Museum, the Draper Museum of Natural History, the Plains Indian Museum, the Whitney Western Art Museum, and the Firearms Museum.
80 years ago, over 14,000 Japanese Americans of all ages were unjustly held here during World War II. At its peak, it would have been the third-largest city in Wyoming. Now it is home to a small museum (where Eva works) and a walking trail.
Yellowstone's East Gate is an hour west of Cody. Come see Old Faithful, Grand Prismatic Spring, and wildlife like buffalo, elk, and if you're (un)lucky, bears. There are many trails for those of all skill levels. The park is very large, so we would advise blocking off half a day if you just want to hit the landmarks, and a full day if you want to do the whole loop. Remember to dress warmly—Yellowstone is higher in altitude than Cody, and can be much much colder!
