Mady and Lisa met in college and quickly bonded over their shared love of Scout Coffee, road trips, and all things design. Their friendship grew even stronger when they became roommates during their junior + senior year—where Mady lovingly taught (or maybe forced) Lisa how to survive sleeping in the frigid cold. Lisa is incredibly talented, has the biggest servant’s heart, and is so excited to have her by her side as she says i do!
Best Man
Nathan and Andrew are such good friends that they text each other every morning (literally). They met through church when Andrew joined Nathan’s small group. Nathan claims that Andrew talks a lot when, in fact, Nathan is the true yapper. Favorite memory: When Andrew asked Nathan if he should ask Mady out, Nathan said, “Well it’s about time you admit you have feelings for her.”
Bridesmaid
Bri is Mady’s older half-sister (though definitely the shorter one!) and the wedding-planning aficionado of the family. While they weren’t super close growing up because of their age gap, the two have shared so many fun memories over the past several years—especially as Mady became “Auntie Maye-Maye.” Bri is a wonderful mom, an amazing writer, a total triple threat, and the best big sister Mady could ask for!
Groomsman
Andrew and Aiden met when Aiden was born. Also known as Cheeto, you will not find him near any vegetable tray–but you will certainly find him near the desserts (you may want to get one before he does). They are most known for ruthlessly making fun of their sisters and being a truly dominant spikeball team (ask about Visor Aiden).
Bridesmaid
Carley and Mady met in high school. They quickly bonded over their shared love of art, Animal Crossing, and spontaneous adventures around Santa Cruz. They stayed close throughout college and have since traveled together to Ireland and Paris—making their high school travel dreams come true! Carley was Mady's go-to girl through all the ups and downs of high school and has always been a steady, loyal friend ever since.
Groomsman
Daniel was Andrew’s first friend in Phoenix–before he Irish good-byed Andrew and moved to Tennessee to go to flight school. They bond over their extensive ball knowledge–although somehow Daniel knows more than Andrew. They had a plan to get married (for tax purposes) and buy a house together so that they could continue living together; Andrew ruined that plan. Favorite memory: singing "Bromance" in the living room together.
Bridesmaid
Taylor and Mady met not too long ago through The Porch in Arizona, but in that time, Taylor has become such an important part of Mady’s walk with the Lord. She’s the kind of friend who challenges you to grow, love deeper, and say yes to one too many crazy spontaneous trips. Together, they’ve traveled the world—five countries in five days (in true Taylor-and-Mady fashion) And fun fact: Taylor told her to consider dating Andrew over gelato in Florence.
Groomsman
Unfortunately, Luke is a Michigan fan, so there was no chance he was going to be Best Man. Fortunately, Andrew and Luke overcame this massive difference to bond over their love of theology and sports. Favorite Memory: In their only night playing Catan, Andrew beat Luke–twice. Luke has yet to schedule a rematch.
Bridesmaid
While Mady and Taylor haven’t known each other for long, it’s been so sweet getting to grow closer over the past year. Mady is beyond excited to have not one, but two younger sisters to share stories (and a little dating advice) with! Taylor is kind, gentle, and the kind of sister-in-law Mady has always dreamed of.
Groomsman
Ethan and Andrew were in the same college small group freshman year and didn’t have a single conversation. They became best friends during sophomore year when Andrew realized that Ethan wasn’t one of those weird Christian people. Their friendship is most known for Ethan yelling “You can’t say that!” to Andrew after he said something controversial. Favorite Memory: Ethan and friends wrote a diss rap about Andrew called “3 a.m. Andy.”
Bridesmaid
Tori and Mady met through Andrew (obviously), and though it’s been a short time, getting to know her this past year has been such a joy. Mady is thrilled to welcome another sister into the family and to bond over their love (or hate) for running. Tori is silly, sweet, and has enough spunk and sass to keep her brothers in check; Mady has been taking extensive notes.
Groomsman
Andrew and Vinny have never had a surface level conversation. As two deep thinkers, their conversations consistently resemble counseling sessions (and yes, they do enjoy it). Even when they talk about how much they love Ohio State football it’s deep, bonding over their hatred of Ryan Day’s conservative play calling. Favorite Memory: Watching Vinny get way-too-hype about anything competitive (specifically, pickleball).
