Like all great love stories of the past ten years, Larry and Andrea first met on a dating app. Andrea insists it was Hinge, while Larry still swears to this day it was “Craigslist Encounters.” Regardless of who you believe, they both agree what followed was a series of unique twists, turns, leaps of faith, and occasional fits of uncontrollable laughter all of which began with their very first date. The year was 2024, and after successfully negotiating that first date, Larry set out early to secure a table at Brookside Barrio. Since Barrio doesn’t take reservations and it was a beautiful Saturday evening, he correctly assumed it would be busy. Upon arrival, he was immediately seated outside at a high‑top table for two… a full 45 minutes early. After several awkward check‑ins from a concerned waitress who feared he’d been stood up, and a few pre‑date margaritas, Andrea finally arrived. Larry’s first thought when he saw her was, “Wow, what an amazing smile!” What he didn’t know was that two minutes earlier, the waitress had informed Andrea that Larry had arrived over an hour early, unintentionally revealing the biggest secret of the night. No matter how it started, Andrea’s smile and her laughter only grew as the evening went on. After several “one more round,” plenty of conversation, and meals that went cold, Andrea finally gave up on snoozing her “Jax Meds 8 p.m.” alarm and called it a night at 9:45. From that first date to the many that quickly followed, their love grew and so did the memories. The list of firsts, inside jokes, and shared experiences became so long that they created a tradition together. Anytime something brought happiness into their lives, they wrote it down and placed it in a mason jar. At the end of each year, around Christmas, they would take out the slips of paper and place them into an ornament for future trips down memory lane. This tradition ensures they never forget the moments, big or small, that shaped who they are today. Fast forward to November 2025, when Larry asked Andrea one very important question, and together they added the words “got engaged” to their ever‑growing mason jar. Now, as December 19th approaches, they’re ready to add their next and most meaningful memory yet. We invite you to celebrate with them as they add “got married” to the jar, honoring the moments that brought them here and the many more still waiting to be collected.
