Believe it or not, we met on the dating app Tinder in August of 2016. During the first week, we would talk and FaceTime for hours and hours until we were able to meet in person a week later (Labor Day Weekend 2016). All throughout the month of September and beginning of October we hung out almost everyday until we finally decided on October 10th, 2016 to enter into a relationship. Two years later, we got engaged and now we're getting married!
Jimmy proposed on September 23, 2018 at Spruce Street Harbor Park in Philadelphia, PA. As a place we shared one of our first dates, it was only fitting Jimmy planned the proposal to occur there. It was a rainy September day and I kept trying to persuade Jimmy to postpone our date, but he insisted we go there and see if we could still get into the park. We drove all the way there and the park was closed to the public. I once again tried to persuade him to go someone else but he had other plans. He went on to say how the day was a special day because it was my Aunt Mare and Uncle Ed's wedding anniversary and he hoped that we could have a marriage as wonderful as they did. He then got down on one knee and proposed (while the photographer he hired snapped pictures of the whole thing)! It was an incredibly special day and one we will cherish for the rest of our lives.
