The Wedding Website of Elizabeth Anderson and Patrick Curran
One great thing about the nation's capital is that it's not terribly difficult to get to. Below are our recommendations for travel and lodging, including special rates at a few local hotels. But don't feel limited to these: While they're all convenient and have offered blocks, there are quite literally dozens of hotels within a few blocks of our venue, so you won't be missing out if you stay somewhere else that sounds appealing.

Hotel

The St. Regis Washington, D.C.

16th and K Street Northwest
Washington, DC 20006
 (202) 638-2626

Stay where it’s all happening! We have a limited block of rooms at the St. Regis, so we encourage family and friends to book early if you’re interested in staying there. Book using this link: https://www.marriott.com/events/start.mi?id=1626362689013&key=GRP If you don’t make the St. Regis block in time, don’t worry — our other hotel blocks are all within a stone’s throw of the reception.

Hotel

The Capital Hilton

1001 16th Street Northwest
Washington, DC 20036
 (202) 393-1000

The Capital Hilton is located in the heart of downtown D.C. -- directly across from the St. Regis, where the reception will be held. It's convenient for both classic tourist destinations (the White House is visible from the driveway, and the Mall less than a mile away) and peaceful, walkable neighborhoods for shopping and dining like a local (Dupont and Logan Circle are located just to the north). Flight

Planes

Three major airports serve the Washington, D.C. region: Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA), Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) and Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI). Each is within a 40-minute rental or cab ride from downtown D.C., but National is significantly closer than either of the other two and features Metro accessibility (Blue and Yellow Lines)

Train

Trains

For guests coming from the mid-Atlantic region through southern New England, Amtrak is likely the most convenient method of transportation to access downtown D.C. Union Station is located less than two miles from our recommended hotels and features a Metro station (Red Line).

Rental Car

Automobiles

Navigating Washington, D.C. by car is not recommended, as car-sharing services are plentiful and affordable and all activities will be held in a public-transit-dense area of the city. However, guests who wish to rent a car will find easy access at all local airports. Should guests wish to arrive by bus, all major bus lines service Union Station, with some budget lines also offering dropoff points across the city.
