Booking information

Hailee Dalzell 800.2527.2356 Hailee.dalzell@armcus.com **We recommend booking as early as possible. These resorts sell out quickly.** Please call or email Hailee Dalzell to book your room. Barcelo Maya Beach Superior Room (standard room) - $218/ Night Ocean front JR SUITE - $291/ Night One of the amazing things about Barcelo is they guarantee the lowest rate. If the price of the room, go down any time before your stay. You can call in and she will adjust the price! Booking a nonrefundable room will also save you a lot of money. If you have a nonrefundable room, she still will be able to price match if the cost of the room goes down. We'd ideally like everyone to stay at Barcelo Maya Beach so that we can all be in the same area. If you wish to have more privacy and would like to use this trip to relax on your own that is absolutely fine as well. We want everyone to treat this as their own vacation and would like you all to use your time however you wish.

Barcelo is one giant all-Inclusive Resort with 6 hotels within. We'd ideally like everyone to stay at the Barcelo Maya Beach resort. The Resort levels (From top to entry level) Barcelo Maya Riviera - Adults only Barcelo Maya Palace Barcelo Maya Beach Barcelo Maya tropical Barcelo Maya Caribe Barcelo Maya Colonial We'd ideally like everyone to stay at Barcelo Maya Beach so that we can all be in the same area. If you wish to have more privacy and would like to use this trip to relax on your own that is absolutely fine as well. We want everyone to treat this as their own vacation and would like you all to use your time however you wish. Barcelo Maya Riviera is on one end of the resort and Barcelo Maya Palace is on the other end. Both of those resorts are considered the higher end resorts. The remaining four are the same Tier and are sandwiched in the middle of the resort. Since we are staying at the Barcelo Maya Beach we can use all the amenities at the other 3 resorts. We would not be able to use the amenities at the adults only and the palace. If you decide to stay at the adults only, then you can use all the amenities everywhere. If you decide to stay at the palace, then you can use all the amenities everywhere except the adults only.

Resort Details

The Barcelo Maya Riveria (adults only ) cater to more of the party crowd. They have pool parties and bars available only to those staying there. The room and amenities are also new and modern. The Barcelo maya Palace caters to families. They have a water park and other kid activities. We chose the Barcelo Maya Beach because it was the most economical option (in comparison to the adults only and palace). It was also the resort with the best beach and is the closest to the Adults only, so it'll have less children. This part of Cancun has rocks in the water at the beaches. The beach closest to palace, tropical and colonial have rocks in the water. If you wish to explore those beaches, we encourage you to bring water shoes. Barcelo Maya Beach and the adults only do not have rocks in the water. From the reviews I read, the pools at this resort also have a fun party environment.

Room Types

Superior Room - Entry level room with a garden view. The entry level room allows you to make reservations for the a la cart restaurants for x number of days per your stay. Junior suite Ocean front premium level room- This room is an upgrade that comes with a newer more modern room. It allows you to make reservations for the a la cart restaurants every night of your stay. It also comes with premium liquor and beer selection. From what I've been told, it's not a huge difference in quality. The premium beers are imported so this will include American beers and beer from other country. The domestic will be Mexican beer which from what I saw is Corona, modelo etc. Family Room- I'm not sure what this includes but it is more expensive than the ocean view. Suite Ocean Front Premium level- This is very similar to the Junior Ocean Front suite. I believe the difference is size of room and it comes with a jacuzzi tub on the balcony.

Tips and tricks

Please read my booking instructions under "Resort Details" to get the best all inclusive room rate. Check your phone service - AT&T has free calls and text in Mexico. I'd recommend checking with your phone service to see what kind of coverage you have. There will be wifi at the airport and at the resort but not at the wedding venue. Credit Cards- If you wish to make any purchases, make sure you have a credit card that can be used internationally. A lot of credit cards have international transaction fees. Please investigate ahead of time. Exchanging dollars for pesos - Do not exchange your money at the airport. The airport will have the lowest exchange rate. Its best to look around to see who has the best rate or to withdraw from the ATM for the best exchange rate. Please note there would be 2 ATM Fees. One from your bank and one from the ATM. So please take that into account to see which option gets you the most money. Bring plenty of cash!! Id recommend bringing at least $100 in 1's & 5's. Tipping is not required but its nice to take care of the workers. They also tend to take better care of you when you tip them 🙂 You'll also want to bring cash for things like transportation, if you decide to go to Cozumel or playa del carmen or for the gift shop!
