What resort should I book

Answer

The Barcelo Maya resort is one large resort with 6 smaller resorts within. We would like everyone to book at Barcelo Maya Beach. If they are sold out or you would like something nicer, feel free to book at any of the other "resorts" located in the Barcelo Maya resort. If you want to splurge the Barcelo Maya Rivera is a very nice resort and it is adults only. It is also right next to the Barcelo Maya beach.

How do I find transportation from the airport to the resort?

Do I need to bring cash?

Answer

This is an all inclusive resort. You wont need to purchase anything at the resort but it would be a great idea to bring $50 - $100 in singles for tipping. Tipping is not required but its a nice gesture for the awesome service they provide. They tend to also take better and quicker care of you if you do (;. There is a shop that you can buy necessities like sunscreen, water shoes, toiletries, and souvenirs. It would be a good idea to bring some extra cash in case you forget or run out of some of those items. If you are looking to explore of the resorts it would be a good idea to bring cash. We will be doing a dollar dance at the wedding. If you'd like to participate and dance with the bride or groom, it would be good to bring cash.

Can my cell phone be used in Mexico?

Answer

You will need to check with your provider. A lot of companies do allow you to get free service in Mexico. We have AT&T and we are able to use it in Mexico at no extra cost.

What Credit card should I bring?

Answer

This is an all inclusive resort but it would be a great idea to bring a credit card that you can use internationally. If you are unsure if your card can be used in Mexico, it would be a great idea to reach out to the credit card company.

What days will I need to be free?

Answer

March 6th & 7th. The hotel is kindly putting a dinner together for our group the night before the wedding. So this will be our "rehearsal dinner". If possible please arrive Wednesday before 3 pm. We understand not everyone's schedule will allow this.

How Will I get to the wedding venue?

Answer

We will be providing and arranging the transportation. We do not have those details sorted out yet.

Can I bring my children?

Answer

Yes, Children are welcome. All the resorts are kid friendly except for Barcelo Riviera Maya. The resort has a kids club where they have kid activities / babysitting services. The wedding will also have childcare.
